Combine losers - offense

We've had a lot of coverage on the combine winners so far - Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, Drew Stanton, Brian Leonard, Greg Olsen, to name a few. But who are the players that aren't performing?

Gary Russell couldn't have had a worse combine. He showed up out of shape and turned in one of the worst 40-times for a RB in recent memory - 4.84. He also managed just 9 reps on the 225 bench!

Zach Miller looked more like an offensive lineman running his 40-yard dash at a slow 4.84. Then he displayed the hands of a lineman, dropping numerous passes during the drills. To make matters worse, Greg Olsen wowed everyone with a 4.5 40-time.

Johnnie Lee Higgins spent two days telling everyone he would run a sub 4.2 40-time and break all the combine records. He then went out and ran a 4.48. While not a bad time, it certainly didn't live up to the hype and was no where near the top receivers at the combine.

Dwayne Jarrett, Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell, Tony Hunt and all the other players who choose to watch the drills instead of participate. NFL personal want players who are willing to put it all on the line.

Greg Olsen runs a 4.47 40-yard dash

Greg Olsen, after weighing in at 6'6" and 254 lbs, just ran an unofficial 4.47 40-yard dash at the combine. He is separating himself from the rest of the tight end competition and should be a first round lock and the first tight end off the board on draft day. Zach Miller, thought to be Olsen's main competition for the top TE spot, only managed a 4.84 40-yard time.

ASU Coach Fired, Zach Miller Likely to Enter Draft

Arizona State's dismissal of Dirk Koetter makes it more likely that junior tight end Zach Miller will skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft. "We're disappointed," said Tom Miller, father of Zach "Every player is disappointed with their investment (into the program). Anything that changes the coaching staff, Zach would have to take into consideration." If he enters the draft, Miller would be the top rated TE and possible first round selection.

Arizona State's Miller Considers Leaving for NFL

Arizona State tight end Zach Miller will be the highest rated TE if he decides to enter the NFL draft. The junior recently commented on his upcoming decision, "That's just going to come with life, moving on. I definitely haven't decided anything yet. I think about it, but I'm not trying to lean one way or the other yet." After the season, Miller will work through the NFL advisory board to receive a draft projection.
