Greg Olsen runs a 4.47 40-yard dash

Greg Olsen, after weighing in at 6'6" and 254 lbs, just ran an unofficial 4.47 40-yard dash at the combine. He is separating himself from the rest of the tight end competition and should be a first round lock and the first tight end off the board on draft day. Zach Miller, thought to be Olsen's main competition for the top TE spot, only managed a 4.84 40-yard time.

That is crazy about Olsen... I heard that he had a 4.45, and 4.47 is right in that range. Looks like we may have a first round tight end picked after all.

That is why the report said 'unofficial' time. He ran the 40-yard dash twice. The first time was an unofficial 4.47 and second was an unofficial 4.45.

Later, after this report was filed, his official combine time of 4.51 was released.
