Stock Watch - Pro Day movers

Impressive Pro Day's have a number of players flying up draft boards.

At Central Michigan's Pro Day, tackle Joe Staley put up a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash, a 32-inch vertical jump, and a 9-foot-9 broad jump. His stock has been soaring ever since. He looks to be a first round lock and top 15 is a possibility.

Amobi Okoye, at 305 pounds, ran a 4.85 40 yard dash during his Pro Day and sees his stock continue to rise. He now could go in the top ten.

Houston running back Jackie Battle has emerged as a sleeper candidate after an excellent Pro Day. At 6-2 and 235 pounds, Battle ran a 4.42 40 yard dash, a 41-inch vertical jump, 10-foot-11 long jump, 4.11 short shuttle, 6.51 three-cone drill and 19 bench press reps. He also impressed scouts with his receiving ability.

Louisville's Pro Day - Okoye continues to impress

Amobi Okoye continued his impressive off-season with an exceptional performance at Louisville's Pro Day. Okoye, at 305 pounds, ran a 4.85 40 yard dash. This was a nice improvement over his disappointing 5.07 40 time at the combine due in part to a sore hamstring. He could be a top ten pick in April's draft and has passed Alan Branch on many draft boards as the top defensive tackle in the draft.

Mayock's Senior Bowl Winners - Kalil, Bowe, Okoye

NFL Network's Mike Mayock believes Ryan Kalil, Dwayne Bowe and Amobi Okoye improved their NFL draft status the most at the Senior Bowl.

Mayock on Kalil -
I think he's been the best offensive lineman down here as far as technique. He's throwing a shutout right now. I really like the way Ryan Kalil moves, so I think he's making himself some money. He could be a first-round center.

on Bowe -
He's 6-2½ , 222 pounds, a great-looking kid with great speed. I think he's a natural first-round pick for a West Coast offense.

On Okoye -
He's really been impressive. His age is an upside for teams. He's 19 and his best football is ahead of him.

Amobi Okoye Moves into Kiper's Top 10

Mel Kiper's latest big board of the top 25 seniors has Louisville defensive tackle Amobi Okoye listed at number eight. Okoye may be the ideal nose tackle. He is built low to the ground, and stays low, making it hard for defenders to get under his pads. Combined with his bulk and his strength, he is immovable on the interior. He is powerful at the point of attack and can push lineman around clogging running lanes on the inside.
