Redskins and Broncos could swap picks in Bly deal

According to the Washington Post, Denver and Washington are currently in trade talks centering around Dre Bly. One rumor has the Broncos sending Bly and a first and second round pick to the Redskins in exchange for the sixth overall pick in the draft.

The Broncos and Redskins have been frequent trade partners in the past and Dre Bly continues to request a trade to Washington, so expect some kind of deal to happen soon. Another rumor has Bly being moved for Ladell Betts.

i am a die heart redskin fan and i think that trading are sixth overall pick to denver for bly and their first and second pick would be an awesome trade. bly would add much needed depth to are cornerbacks. also, with denvers 21st pick there should still be quality defensive ends still available such as Quentin Moses and Jarvis Moss both are excellent at putting presser on the quartback . this is exactly what the redskins need. with a 2nd round pick the redskins could address the o-line since they lost Derrick Dockery. there still should be quality o-line left at the 24th pick of the 2nd round such as, Aaron sears, Josh Beekman, Levi Brown, and Joe Staley.

Great trade for both sides. This will probably happen. Bly wants to go to the skins.

Denver needs Bly to just shut up and play. If he thinks that Champ will make him look bad because he is going to get picked on all day. Well he just needs to make the play on the ball and get his superbowl ring in Denver. The skins are a lot further from the superbowl than the bronco's. Then next year he will be an extremely coveted free agent if Denver does not show him the money first. I think he wants to just get paid a bunch of money by the skins who will accept the same old mediocre play they got from all there other overpaid lazy stars they have had.

Bly's agent released a statement saying that Bly never said he was not happy to be in Denver. Maybe it is just media hype?

The Bronco's would be stupid to trade Bly to move up in the draft. There is nobody at 6 that the Bronco's need.

The only deal I see the Bronco's making is trading Bly for Springs and Betts.

Then they have the corner they need and an good young running back to compliment Henry.

I am a longtime Detroit Lions fan. I have to say this is sad and ridiculous on Bly's part. I was very happy to see him go. Funny most people, Denver Fans, and so called experts said that Denver got the better end of the deal. I always just laughed when I heard this. I do feel bad for Denver, I just think it is ridiculous that a player can have this kind of power.

It looks like Bly wants to be a Bronco. His agent said that he wants to be a Bronco.

I heard that they may be a three way deal.

The Skins would send Springs and their 1st round draft pick (6th overall) to the Lions.

The Lions would send their 1st round draft pick (2nd overall) to the Bronco's.

The Bronco's would send Dre Bly and the 3rd rounder they got from the Skins back to the Skins.

I dont see how BLy can be unhappy (what we hear from the media) he is joined a team with a very good shot at makeing a run to the superbowl in 2-3 years. Not to mention he can work with Champ Bailey, Al Wilson, and John Lynch all experts and some of the best ever at their positions. Not to mention the fresh start that the broncos have on offense that will be a threat in 1-3 years. Bly with the Broncos and a broncos draft of two defensive linemen will make them one of the best defenses out there.

It is rediculous how a player can have this much power.

good deal as long as the skins dont give up betts...might cause logjam with 4 corners and like brandon lloyd at reciever, smoot might end up harming the team with attitude if he doesnt get PT

Since when is the Washington Post ever been a reliable news source? They seem to be just as biased in sports reporting as they are in reporting politics or social agendas.

Denver would be foolish to trade away 3 picks for one. After giving up 2 players for one just to get Bly.

Just wanted to say that Denver has no need to get Redskins' first round pick at #6, the only player that they would take that high(Adrian Peterson) will be gone. Denver doesn't need Betts and acquiring Bly just to trade him away for Springs who is more than two years older is stupid - Bly is a much better player.

I'm a huge Denver fan and have seen every single game Tatum Bell has played in and I have to really disagree with anyone saying Detroit got the better deal. Bell indeed is a speedster but is anything but consistent and has a serious fumbling problem at the wrong times. As for George Foster, hmm, not sure if I have to say anything. Waste of a 1st round pick that should be a backup in the NFL.

Bly is a big time corner and teams can no longer pick on the opposite side of Bailey. I hope Bly stays.

Funny how the longtime Detroit fan is sorry for Denver. Laughable! However, number don't lie and it's not hard to see the bitterness. Good luck with Bell and Foster and keep drafting those winners!!

That 3-way deal would make me sick, as a Skins' fan. We have more issues than Dre Bly can personally fix.

The redskins will not part ways with Betts because he rushed for 1000 yards last year in Portis absence and they gave him a new deal as a reward. Springs is likely to be cut in June if not traded first. Redskins have too much money tied up so don't expect them to stay at the 6th spot so a deal with Denver is likely to happen before the Draft

Bly's good, but to trade him, a 2nd round pick, and the 21st pick overall for the 6th pick overall... if this goes down Denver got the short end of the stick, and this is coming from a diehard Denver fan. I would like for Bly to stick around and show Denver he's worth the extra money, and for Denver to go after a DE in the 1st round.

so, in essence Denver gets to the #2 spot by trading Bly and a 3rd rounder? Althewhile the skins give up Springs and the #6 overall for Bly and a 3rd? I doubt that's even a real rumor...that you didn't make up. It makes no sense whatsoever.

What's all this talk about nobody at six that the Broncos should make this trade for?? Unless there is some news that I haven't heard Landry, Anderson, and Gaines could help Denver out a ton. Pretty sure that two of the three will be there at #6 but none of them will be there at #21.

If the Skins, as rumored, surrendered their 6th overall pick for Dre Bly and a 3rd rounder, Joe Gibbs and the entire front office should be fired immediately. Bly has only two good years left. Ludicrous rumor.

This would be an amazing trade for the Redskins. It would be actually an intellegent decision by there front office for once.

Denver doesn't want the 2nd pick from Detroit. They want the 6th from Washington and Springs for DE Adamas or Anderson.
So it's Washington's 6th + Springs for Denver's 21st + 2nd rounder + Bly. Denver may have to sweeten the pot and give Wash. a 3rd or lower pick also.
