LSU Pro Day - Bowe runs a 4.40 40-yard dash

Some early results from today's Pro Day at LSU -

Dwayne Bowe ran a 4.40 and 4.49 40-yard dash. His stock has been on the rise and this will only help.

Receiver Craig Davis put up times of 4.41 and 4.44 in the 40.

Jamarcus Russell ran the 40 in 4.83. He also performed position drills and threw to Bowe and Davis.

I'm unimpressed by Bowe and/or Russel because Bowe would probably be rated #4 receiver in the draft because of the dash. JaMarcus Russel is unimpressive because he shows up at the combine big fat and stuff, and when you look at quinn he's much different. Who would u rather have a fat guy(JaMarcus Russel) or a very very strong guy(Brady Quinn)?

JaMarcus Russel is definitely not unimpressive. Then again, who won the game with LSU against Notre Dame? I don't remember Brady Quinn doing too hot. Plus, Russel has a cannon for a throwing arm. They're both very good QB's though.

I hate how everyone judges Brady Quinn based off of ONE game, Sugar Bowl or not. Statistically, Quinn is way better

Russel is not fat and Quinn is not strong. Bowe is the second best reciever in the draft. He is fast, has good size, and good hands.

Brady Quinn isn't being judged based off of one game...he lost all of his big games, and stats are very misleading. Who cares about stats when you can't win. To ebron t, I'd rather have the fat guy because he's a winner. Brady's 25 presses, who cares...JaMarcus chunking it 75-80 yards...how easy is it gonna be for Randy Moss to run past DBs to get those?

I love Dwayne Bowe. Big, reliable, fluid routes, and now runs in the 4.40's. I hope to God he falls to the 40th pick in the draft so Miami can get a chance at this guy. He's exactly what we need, an Anquan Boldin-type guy but with more speed.

You cant judge a player by just 1 game, plus LSU D was better than ND. I think Russel will go 1st but Quinn will make a better pro.

dwayne jarret > dwayne bowe

watch the tape

watch him in the rose bowl vs the best corner back in the draft leon hall

they threw him the ball like 10 times in a row and he did whatever he wanted. they had like 3 guys on him.

of course quinn is gonna be statistically better. he plays only a couple of tough games a year, while almost any game in the SEC can end up an upset. they're both good, and will both do well.

Dwayne Bowe > Dwayne Jarrett

Watch Bowe go against the top athletes every weekend, don't give me the best corner in the draft Leon Hall, because the speed of the Big 10 and Pac 10 have nothing on the SEC. The best corner in this draft is Chris Houston, and I don't think anybody realizes that yet. Bowe is much more tested than Jarrett because of the level of DBs that he faced every week. SEC corners are much tougher than Pac 10 corners, or Big 10 for that matter. Bowe will make the better pro.

I think much of that will be decided by what team takes them. Many drafts have Jarrett going to tennessee, which seems like a perfect fit where he could be their instant #1 reciever and catch balls from Vince Young. As for bowe if he goes to say kansas city...idk about how well he'll do
