Reports from day one at the combine

There wasn't much action today at the combine, just the weigh-ins and interviews for the OL, TE, and K. Still some news to report though.

Greg Davis recaps day 1 with a look at tackles Levi Brown and Joe Thomas.

Don Banks' notes from day one include an interview with Ted Ginn. Ginn, who won't run at the combine, said he hasn't run a 40 in a couple of years, but his times were consistently in the range of 4.34 when he did.

Also, Ginn, who arrived at Ohio State as a top cornerback recruit, said he wouldn't mind playing cornerback in addition to his receiver duties in the NFL.

There are reports that Brady Quinn will skip the combine workouts. If true, it's disappointing but not surprising given the fact that he also skipped the Senior Bowl.

Gil Brandt lists some heights and weights in his quick hits from day 1 at Indy.
