Please give your team a letter grade and tell me why or what I could do better for your teams draft! This is just for fun guys…. Don’t blow a gasket!

Trades:
Cleveland Browns trade Andre Davis and an 08’ 4th Round Pick to San Diego for Michael Turner. (Rob Chudzinski will push for Turner*RFA* and Dielman *UFA* to come to Cleveland)

Arizona Cardinals trade their 3rd Round Pick to Pittsburgh for Max Stark. (A tackle that Wisenhunt is familiar with and definitely worth the 3rd Rd. Tender.)

Major Slips: Troy Smith, Marcus McCauley, Paul Posluszny, & Kenny Irons.

Major Jumps: Jamaal Anderson, Rufus Alexander, Anthony Gonzalez, & Chris Houston.

1. Oakland Raiders – JaMarcus Russell - QB
I think he shored up his worth in the LSU vs. Notre Dame game. Could change during the combine. Al Davis is drooling over this physical and athletic specimen. It is obvious, this team has not done well since the loss of Rich Gannon! Russell will change that!

2. Detroit Lions – Joe Thomas - LT
Detroit will address the DL in FA. A franchise LT has been ignored in the Rock City and Maranelli addresses it now with Thomas.

3. Tampa Bay Buccanears – Calvin Johnson - WR
This is a can’t miss WR for Chuckie Gruden. Opposite Joey Galloway, Chris Simms may be a threat and should help in making Cadillac more productive!

4. Cleveland Browns – Jamaal Anderson - DE
An ideal size for a 3-4 end and will be similar to Trevor Pryce. With Thomas off of the board, the DL is a must to address.

5. Arizona Cardinals – Reggie Nelson - S
Wisenhunt will look defense, which is the Achilles Heal for the Cardinals. They will look for Nelson to bring a Troy Polamalu type presence to Arizona.

6. Washington Redskins – Alan Branch - DT
Defensive line is a huge need for the Redskins. Joe Saleve’a was not very productive.

7.Minnesota Vikings - Gaines Adams - DE
Udeze has been not been productive at the right end position. Childress knows that Jarrett is a reach at #7 and that he can find a productive WR in Rd. 2.

8. Houston Texans – Adrian Peterson - RB
RB is an area of need. Hard to pass on Peterson at this point! Domanick Whatever, Ron Dayne, and Samkon Gado are not the RB answer for Houston. Kubiak wants to follow the Shanahan history, but cannot pass on Peterson at this spot.

9. Miami Dolphins – Brady Quinn - QB
Miami cannot pass on Quinn here. Too many question with Harrington and Culpepper. Cameron knows he will need a solid QB and gets it with Pro ready Quinn.

10. Atlanta Falcons – Laron Landry - S
Atlanta is in need of a good safety. Landry is a solid pick at this position to replace Chris Crocker.

11. San Francisco 49ers – Dwayne Jarrett - WR
I think it is obvious that SF needs a WR after Bryants problems and inconsistencies. Jarrett is a familiar face in California and will please the 49ers.

12. Buffalo Bills – Patrick Willis - MLB
Losing London Fletcher allows Buffalo to pick up a good and younger MLB.

13. St. Louis Rams – Rufus Alexander - OLB
A big need to play next to Witherspoon. Maybe a bit of a reach, but the best available OLB. Paul Posluszny is an option here, but St. Louis will see Alexander as the better athlete and less of an injury risk.

14. Carolina Panthers – Michael Griffen - S
S is a big need for Carolina with Minter and Williams each aging. Griffen may be a reach at 14, but with Landry, Nelson, and Willis off the board, Carolina cannot pass on Griffen here.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers – Quentin Moses - OLB
In need of OLB’s, Pittsburgh swoops up Moses. Solid pick and will be an ideal 3-4 OLB. Question is…… Does Tomlin stick with the 3-4? We will see in the upcoming weeks!

16. Green Bay Packers – Marshawn Lynch – RB
Green Bay will need a RB after the loss of Ahman Green in FA. This is the RB they want and they get him here.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars – Tedd Ginn - WR
A lot of disappointments with Jones and Williams production. JDR will look for Ginn to provide a spark.

18. Cincinnati Bengals – Darelle Revis – CB
Cincinnati still has a need at CB, as Tory James is depleting. ONeal is aging also. It would not hurt the Bengals to take Revis, who at this slot is a steal.

19. Tennessee Titans – Sidney Rice - WR
The Titans, although lacking on defense, take a game breaking WR in Rice for a go to target for Young. Tennessee has enough 2nd Rd WR who do not produce. Here is a game breaker! The draft is heavy on the DL and Tennessee waits to address the issue.

20. NY Giants – Leon Hall - CB
The Giants have more needs than some may think. Hall is a player that cannot be passed on at this spot and fills a void! Madisons age and the productivity of the right side corners forces the Giants hand at CB.

21. Denver Broncos – DeMarcus “Tank” Tyler - DT
Shannahan has figured out that the interior of his “Browncos” defense was released for a reason!

22. Dallas Cowboys – Justin Blalock - OG
OL is a definite need and the Cowboys take the hometown option in Blalock. JB will be an immediate starter and will replace Marco Rivera.

23. Kansas City Chiefs – Levi Brown - OT
A replacement for Roaf is a necessity. Why not Brown? They haven’t missed on their other Penn State Alumni!

24. New York Jets – Adam Carriker - DE
Jets still in need of defense, goes after a solid DE in Carriker who is said to be a solid fit for a 3-4 DE.

25. NE Patriots(via Seattle) – Chris Houston - CB
This one is hard to be positive of without FA happening. But, with Gay a RFA and Samuel an UFA, NE will eventually need another shutdown corner.

26. Philadelphia Eagles – Lawerence Timmons - OLB
This is a long term investment for the Eagles in replacing Dahani Jones. An area of need and the BPA.

27. NE Patriots – Anthony Gonzalez – WR
My opinion here is that Gonzalez is a game breaker and will fit in with the Pats system very nicely. Not a selfish player or a “look at me” type player. Gonzo will do the little things right, a team player, and a hard worker. A great pick here for NE and will produce immediately!

28. Baltimore Ravens – Brandon Jackson – RB
In past years, Baltimore has been known for the power running game. But, that hasn’t worked all that well of late! The Ravens will look for a more illusive Willie Parker style runner and will get it in Jackson. His stock will rise to the #3 RB after the combine. Bush is a possibility, but no workouts before the draft will handicap him!

29. New Orleans Saints – Daymeoin Hughes - CB
With Thomas going to year 12 and McKenzie looking at year 9, it is time for the Saints to get more youthful at the corners!

30. San Diego Chargers – HB Blades - ILB
Time to look at replacing Donnie Edwards or plan for the possibility of Godfrey hitting the FA market.

31. Chicago Bears – Joe Staley - LT
Sexy is something that is not needed in Chicago. Chicago will be looking for some dirty/grimy type players to build the trenches! This will help them make another run at the Super Bowl in 08’.

32. Indianapolis Colts – Amobi Okoye - DT
Indy has no choice but to work on the DL this offseason! Although his stats aren’t horrible, I believe Brock is the weak link in the run game. The 19 year old has the skill and energy to make an impact as a rookie. His age slips him to this spot in the draft!!!

ROUND 2
33. OAKLAND RAIDERS – Dwayne Bowe – WR
Bowe with Russell makes a good start on a bad offense in Oakland.
34. DETROIT LIONS – Lamar Woodley – DE
Detroit begins revamping the DL with this pick!
36. CLEVELAND BROWNS – Tony Ugoh - OT
Browns upgrade the RT position after an early medical retirement by Ryan Tucker.
35. TB BUCCANEERS – Brandon Siler - OLB
Another defensive need is filled here. Current LB’s are getting older.
37. Arizona Cardinals – Paul Posluszny - OLB
Wisenhunt goes defense again and gets a steal with Poz in the second. He will fill in for Orlando Ruff at ROLB.
38. NY JETS (VIA WASHINGTON) Jarvis Moss - OLB
Help needed in the LB corps. Need depth and a playmaker.
39. Minnesota Vikings – Robert Meacham - WR
Staying put at #7 and passing on Jarrett did not hurt the Vikings as getting Meacham in early Rd. 2 helps Tarvaris Jackson in the passing game!
40. HOUSTON TEXANS – Victor Abiamiri – DE
Kubiak goes back to the trenches in Rd. 2.
41. MIAMI DOLPHINS – BEN GRUBBS – OG
Miami continues upgrading the trenches.
42. ATLANTA FALCONS – Michael Bush - RB
Petrino knows what he has in Bush and will look at him and Norwood to provide a solid running attack. Dunn is withering away and it is time for a change!
43. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS – Kareem Brown - DT
A lot of youth in the middle of the defensive front. Not much productivity either. Brown is a more disruptive player than the likes of Sopoaga and Oliver. Much needed help from Kareem Brown to the 49ers DL.
44. BUFFALO BILLS – Aaron Ross – CB
The loss of Clements puts Ross in Buffalo.
45. ST. LOUIS RAMS – Ray McDonald – DE
Help needed opposite L. Little.
46. CAROLINA PANTHERS – Buster Davis – MLB
Another need filled by Carolina.
47. Pittsburgh Steelers – Jared Gaither – OT
Max Starks follows OC Wisenhunt to Arizona. Gaither with a years experience will be great for the Steelers. Steal here in Rd. 2
48. GREEN BAY PACKERS – Brandon Merriweather – S
A need at Safety allows the Packers to pick up a very good one here.
49. JACSONVILLE JAGUARS – Earl Everett – OLB
Depth needed at the OLB position.
50. CINCINNATI BENGALS – Charles Johnson - DE
Robinson is going into year 11 and J. Smith is a UFA. Geathers is definitely productive and will be a step in, but lack of depth hurts Cincinnati on the ends. Johnson is a really good pick for the Bengals and a steal at the #50 spot!
51. TENNESSEE TITANS – Quinn Pitcock - DT
R. Smith (UFA) Haynesworth (Anger Management) + 32 Ranked D = Pitcock who will make the Titans and their fans very happy!
52. NY GIANTS – Antonio Pittman – RB
Giants – Tiki = Jacobs & Pittman. Pittman will assume the Barber role, yet Jacobs will carry the load.
53. DENVER BRONCOS – Eric Weddle – S
A nasty player with good instincts and playmaking ability. A great project for Lynch!
54. DALLAS COWBOYS – Ryan Harris - OT
OL is the continued need in Dallas. Not the best depth at the T spot.
55. KC CHIEFS – Steve Smith - WR
Anyone else see the amount of drops in the playoff game vs. Indy? KC really needs to get Trent some help and Smith will be the possession receiver needed!
56. NY JETS – Manuel Ramirez - OG
Jets upgrade the running game with a mauling OG here in the 2nd to take over for 12 year vet Pete Kendall
57. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS – Aaron Rouse – S
Losing Hamlin to FA forces the Seahawks to take the best S available.
58. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES – Tony Hunt - RB
Losing Buckhalter to FA and the Westbrook injuries force the Eagles hand at the best available RB.
59. NE PATRIOTS – Josh Gattis - S
Too many injuries to Harrison. Will be a project for Harrison to teach. Could be a big impact player as a rookie. Very good instincts and plays both the run and pass well. Very polished defensive player and will be similar to Sean Jones of the Cleveland Browns.
60. BALTIMORE RAVENS – RYAN KALIL – C
A true C to back up 9 year vet Mike Flynn.
61. NO Saints – Zach Miller – TE
Definite need for Sean Payton’s high powered offense.
62. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS – Johnnie Lee Higgins - WR
Have lacked in this area for some time now. Losing McCardell to FA makes it something that cannot be ignored.
63. CHICAGO BEARS – Aaron Sears – OG
Chicago continues with QB protection and opening more holes for the running game!
64. TAMPA BAY (VIA INDY) – Doug Datish - OL
Datish is a versatile OL who can play any position. TB will be able to utilize him in multiple areas of need along the OL. DE could be another route here, but I believe TB will stick with Simeon Rice.

Hall runs a 4.45 40.. Pittmans time is not as good as most, none the less, he has good field vision and a burst to the hole! He also has good size for an NFL style RB.

I like the Jets draft. Although, I think Moss is more of an athlete than a football player. I wouldn't mind Leonard at 2b either.

I don't disagree.... But.... If you would have read my explanation, Bush will not perform in the combine and will not be able to work out until after the draft! Nobody knows what form he will be in after the injury!

Broncos: B--->

It's a B because I think these are two things that Denver need, but I don't think they'll draft a DL in the first round even though everone thinks so. Denver will probably get a CB in the first because of the passing of D-Will, so they'll probably get the best available or trade up for one. I also think RB in the second round may happen.

ummm no they wont at all. domonique foxworth is the starter, he almost unseated williams at CB last camp and i personally think he is better than dwill. i dont see denver passing on okoye for tank tyler. shanhan already has one louisville DL stud, why not take two. and weddle is a great, i love the guy.

i give it an A- cause you got the two positions right that denver needs, but give us okoye

Well, according to ESPN, all last night and today, Tomlin is the new HC! I know it has not been formally announced, but the Steelers officials are not denying it. They just aren't speaking of it!

Eagles- D

Gocong was selected last draft to be the solution for the Dhani jones problem.

The Eagles are not taking a running back until atleast the 5th round. Our defense sucked this year and our offense was great, so why would we add to a great offense when our defense needs all the help it can get? Plus Andy reid has never taken a back before the third and we start now after westbrook's transition into an elite back.
