Wes, AC: What are the EAGLES gonna do with all those pics? Whats the buzz?
Todd McShay: I think they'll keep most, if not all of their five Day 1 picks. They could use one to move up in the first or second rounds and they also could package a few of their 8 Day 2 picks to move up in the second or third round. However, while they have a great situation across the board in terms of their starters, they can really use a lot of these picks to improve their depth and to get younger. I think they could walk away from Day 1 Iowa DE Matt Roth, Georgia WR Fred Gibson, Okl. State RB Vernand Morency, CSU TE Joel Dreessen and S.C. DT Darrell Shropshire -- Not a bad scenario, right?
Let me say.... ugg? Mixed bag, anyhow. Here is what Scouts, Inc. has to say about the Weaknesses of Gibson (they did have positive things to say, too, in fairness)...
Weaknesses: He is lean and needs to bulk up. Lacks toughness. Does not like contact. Does not have good strength and can get pushed around if bigger cornerbacks get into his body. Was more aggressive as a senior but still will avoid going over the middle on occasion. He will shy away from extending for a catch if he knows he's going to get hit. He will run out of bounds after the catch instead of lowering his shoulder at times. His concentration wavers too much. . Dropped entirely too many "catchable" passes during college career. Does not like to catch in traffic. Needs to protect the ball better. Lacks bulk and strength. Does not work hard enough as a blocker and his technique is below average.
Great... Todd Pinkston II. Seems like anyone in his scenario is a little bit of a reach for the Eagles draft position, except probably Roth and Dreessen at 77. |

Would have no problem with them keeping all 5 picks although they need to get rid of some of there later ones then (roster space) hopefully to move their 2-4ths up or get a few picks for next year (of course there's always Freddy, COrey or Simon for that)
In terms of who they mentioned:
Roth is ok, I lean toward Tuck Cody or Pollack still being here more though.
Would prefer Fason at early second or Barber later in round
Would like someone like Patterson (maybe too late) or even Northwestern's Castillo here or with #35
Dressen would be great at mid 3rd
not sure about Shropshire but think Vincent Jackson or Temple's Wallace might work |

| moving 6 5 4 round picks for 2nd and 3rd round spots could be of good use. |

| Todd McShay is from ESPN Insider. The quote was from a chat wrap, so Wes, AC was whoever asked the question. |
