This article leads me to believe that we will pursue Sharper even more now. As much as like Webster, I think Sharper would be a definate improvement to our LB's and would make great mentor for Caleb Miller.

From a Bengals.com article today--

Quote:
Tony Agnone, the agent for Sharper, confirmed Monday that his client is scheduled for a Paul Brown Stadium visit for probably this Wednesday and Thursday.

The article goes on to say that he's interested in Baltimore, Jacksonville, Kansas City, and Seattle.

Complete Article (also talks about Webster, Warrick, and a couple of team notes):

I think he'll sign with Cincinnati, but may need to take less $$$ then what he could get elsewhere to sign.

If he is offered less money to play in Cincinnati, then he will not sign here.

This is probably his last big paycheck. He still has some years left and is a good LB, however, he likely has peaked and so needs to get a nice payday while he can. That is the unfortunate reality.

I am hopeful we can sign him but just have doubts he'd take less money to play here when any of the other teams on his list are playoff contenders.

I don't have any problems playing Caleb Miller at mlb. He's not a bad linebacker when not injured. (and he was injured most of the season.) So, I don't consider it a big loss if we don't sign Sharper. I would be a nice addition though.
