You are right Frank, Wansstupid only legacy was a lot of dissapointments to the fans who season after season saw how the team became in a disaster because the Wanstted never think in a future. Hopefully I think that Saban has the capacity to turn around this situatión and take us to the next level.

Obviously JJ thought the key was quantity. But two of crap is still crap. He obviously gets credit for taking Zach Thomas, a major steal, but for the most part it looks like A LOT more misses than hits.

And Mercury you forgot another big steal form JJ in 1997 "JASON TAYLOR".

Maybe JT and ZT was the only 2 players well scouted by him

In 1999 many of the pre-draft rags had the following "backs" as the top recruits coming out:

#1 Ricky Williams - was a Dolphin
#2 Edgerrin James - Could be a Dolphin
#3 Cecil Collins - was a Dolphin
#4 JJ Johnson - was a Dolphin
#5 Rob Konrad - was a Dolphin

Granted Konrad was a FB, but at least Pro Football Weekly listed them in the order above. Lets hope this years class pans out a little better for the Fins.

Also who can forget Jimmy Johnson's fan favorite of passing on Randy Moss so he could take John Avery. He then went onto select the speedster Larry Shannon who was to be "as good as Moss" according to JJ.

Even Jay Fielder would have looked good throwing to Randy Moss.

Right Mercury, maybe that was one of the most miserable moves mades by him, only because "he wanted to take a risk with Moss" and now in 2005 where are Avery? who remember him?. And think that maybe Moss could be the WR that Marino needed to take another chance to get a superbowl, who knows?
