We can afford to offer up a couple of our backup linemen who could start for other teams potentially.
Mike Wright
Marquise Hill [hey, he's better than anyone starting for the Browns or Niners at DE currently]
Russ Hochstein
Ryan O'Callaghan OR Nick Kaczur
I don't think the older guys like Dillon or Harrison have much trade value at all. I'd personally rather restructure Corey's contract and keep him around as a short yardage back. Harrison can go. _________________

I feel like the Jets or Browns would have interest in Dillon, even if it means getting only a 5th rounder. He carries a big salary for a pretty minimal role next season. I think we need to get rid of him....Ill put those guys above on the block. _________________

Pick 41
Dolphins get:
Pick 22
Pick 28

No way jose.
Harrison may be aging, but he's an enforcer in our secondary. We're giving up two first round picks, and chances are that both Jarrett and CJ will be gone. CJ is top 5 material, and Jarrett is top 8.
Personally, I think there is lots of WR depth in this draft. Here is my round by round breakdown.
Round 1:
1. Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech*
2. Dwayne Jarrett, USC*
3. Ted Ginn, Ohio State*
4. Sidney Rice, South Carolina*
5. Robert Meachem, Tennessee*
Round 2:
6. Anthony Gonzalez, Ohio State*
7. Craig Davis, LSU
8. Dwayne Bowe, LSU
9. Johnnie Lee Higgins, UTEP
10. Jeff Samardzija, Notre Dame
11. Steve Smith, USC
12. Aundrae Allison, East Carolina
Round 3:
13. Rhema McKnight, Notre Dame
14. Jason Hill, Washington State
15. Chansi Stuckey, Clemson
16. Laurent Robinson, Illinois State
17. Marcus Monk, Arkansas
18. Jarrett Hicks, Texas Tech
19. Ryne Robinson, Miami (FL)
And that's being awful nice to some players as well.
I'm about to make a 1 round mock of how I see the draft going. I'll get input and we'll be able to make a more educated guess of where we want to get our guys.
As of now, I do not approve of this deal. _________________

I think Rice said he was returning to school next year.
I think our best bets this year are Gonzalez and Smith. Bowe might also be a good option, depending on how his combine numbers look. _________________

From RAVENS Asst. GM: BaLrAv3nS
Subject : Adalius Thomas Trade before FA
Hi guys I am posting to see if you are interested in trading for a franchised Adalius Thomas.
He can play nearly every position on defence and is coming towards his best years of football.
Ranked as the number 1 potential Defensive Free agent he would be a big up grade on any team.
Are you interested in acquiring him from us before he hits the free agency??? |

I worked this out with the Dolphins:
We get 9 and 41
They get 22, 28, 82, and Hill
We get a 300 point edge on this, but they get Hill aswell. This is the proposition, what do you guys think? _________________

IMO, that's even worse than the first proposed deal. Why do we want to get rid of all of our picks for some players that we may not even get.
I honestly don't really care for the point system. This is why I hate doing trades way before the draft, when we don't know who's going where. I feel that before trading picks, unless there is a can't miss STEAL of a deal, we need to be conservative, and wait until at least the end of FA.
However, Adalius Thomas is an exception. He'd look beautiful in a Patriot uniform. _________________

The thing is we would use those picks from Miami to hopefully trade with Detroit. I wont consider the deal unless i work out a deal with DET. I am also open to the Thomas deal when we find out the asking price. _________________

Hmm...I understand your idea...
I'm still not totally sold on this move, but I'm a bit more willing to buy into it now.
However, I really don't want to give up way too much in any deal. I think we need at least 3 of our 4 draft picks at the end of the day. We have too many needs for youth to do anything otherwise. _________________

Browsn GM checking in.
I was just curious of your interest in trading up to #3 overall.
If you have any interest make us an offer in the Browns War Room.
