| I'm just curious what you guys think about Colt Brennen entering the NFL draft this year instead of next. What round do you think he would go in? Colt is pondering his future right now and will announce his decision soon. |

| If Brennen declared RIGHT now, I dont see him as anything better than a 3rd round pick. Brennen is a tiny Qb at 6-2 210. Brennen needs another year of college to gain about 10 pounds. You dont see too many 210 pound Qbs drafted on the first day of the draft, unless your Michael Vick. |

| I think Brennen is overrated because of his stats. I agree, no better than a 3rd round pick. |

| People love to knock Brady Quinn for always losing to the best teams in the nation. Who has Colt Brennen played? Has he even had a chance to play the best teams in the nation? I dont understand the argument that we are not suppose to hold it against Brennen that he hasnt played top tier compeition, but if Quinn loses to top tier compeition he is viewed as the worst Qb prospect on the face of the planet. It is just so hypocritical. People love to hate on the golden boy becuase of jelousy and always root for the underdog becuase of pride. |

Colt Brennan won't be anything more than a late second day pick. He plays in a gimmick run-and-shoot offense. That's why his numbers are great. It's not a reflection of his being an NFL-calibre QB. _________________

Croyle was taken in 3rd round... Brennen is defintely healthier and stronger than Croyle... He is a solid 2nd round.
6 2 210 or 6 3 195 is a good size to be taken as a qb of the future.
He will hear his name in low portion of the first round and high portion of 2nd round... _________________ [img][/img] |

Colt Brennan is not a product of the Hawaii offense. Watch him play, he's the real deal. He'll be a first rounder if he stays for his senior year. _________________

| Although I'm not on the Brennan bandwagon yet, I think this is the year he can go the highest. Next year's QB class should be stronger than this one I think and is there really much more he can do at Hawaii to improve his draft stock? If anything I think staying another year could hurt his stock. If he chooses to stay, he'll be under the microscope from day one of the season, which could be a good or bad thing. He's set the bar incredibly high with the seaso he had this year. I personally think he should come out if going high in the draft is his goal. |

Colt Brennan is a product of the system and he's fiested on a bad conference. No way he gets picked 1st day... He should just stay, not that it would do him any good, but why not? See what Hawaii can do next year. _________________

brennan does have the stats and from what i've heard he has the arm strength to make all the throws and the qb tools that would make nfl teams drool. if thats correct then i dont see how he wouldnt be a first round qb basically on potential. i mean who did jay cutler beat? teams fell for his skills and brennan has the talent that those other gimmicky qbs lacked. _________________

Jay Cutler had the strongest arm in the entire draft class. That is why he was drafted so high. Brennen's arm strength is no where near Cutler's. Brennen throws with a sidearm motion to I believe. The side arm really hinders your arm strenght, unless your name is Jeff George.
I think Phillip Rivers may be the closest comparison we could make with Brennen. MAybe with a little bit less leadership quality. |

I should preface this statement by saying that he still should stay until next season, however, if you've never watched Colt Brennan play, you obviously have no clue when you make this type of statement.
He is not a typical Hawaii QB, ala Timmy Chang. He's better than Chang. He has the skill set and mechanics to be able to adjust to a typical pro-style offense. With that said, I still don't think he's any better than a 3rd-round prospect, solely because of the need for him to adjust to the pro game. _________________

you see his completion%? i believe its around 73%, thats INSANE! i dont think he's a system QB, he has great intagibles and would probably be a 2nd-3rd rounder this year if he leaves and a 1st rounder next year. _________________
