I know that having the number one overall pick is exciting, but as everyone knows most teams win with good picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. So, I would like to know who everyone thinks we pick in those rounds.

I would like Grubbs from Auburn in the second and Kalil C from USC in the third.

I definitely agree. Look at the Texans' draft last season. Mario Williams was a decent top pick, but DeMeco Ryans in the second was huge for them. Same as Thomas Howard in the second for us.

Nice thread idea with all of the number one talk going on.

With our O being disgusting and Crockett being gone soon, I like Brian Leonard FB from Rutgers. Athletic and fast for a FB, decent blocker as well. He is Mike Allstott tough, and LaMont Jordan fast, not impressive for a RB but impressive for a FB.

3rd round, I would like to see us take something of a DLman. I know its a soft class this year. But, I think there is a gem out there, like Tim Crowder from Texas or Baraka Atkins from Miami.

DL just to sure it up for the future.

In the second I like Greg Olsen, Sidney Rice, Dewayne Bowe if they are there or Michael Bush.
In the third I like O Line help.

well, now that sidney rice has declared, if he somehow is still there in the 2nd round, that would be great, although I saw him drop a pass in his bowl game, I know everyone drops passes every now and then.

A guy you guys should look at in the third round is Brian Leonard from Rutgers. He has the speed of a half back, and the strength and blocking skills of a fullback. I think he will eventually turn into a starting half back in the NFL because he is a very talented and gifted athlete.

2.OT Jared Gaither.. can play RT right away.. such a beast.
3.Dwayne Bowe.. alot of talent comeing in the at wr and Bowe will fall to the third and what a steal..
3.we get this pick from the packers because of woodson..Kyle Young the best center in the draft and will lead the line back to greatness..

My sleeper pick RB Gary Russell.. the frank gore of the draft.. wright that down..

Where do you get that we got a 3rd rounder for Woodson? I thought he was unrestricted, and I dont remember hearing anything about that....do you have any confirmation?

pfassad is right. You didn't get a third round pick from the Packers. You might get a compensatory pick, but the Packers didn't give up anything to get Woodson.

If we go QB round 1:

2. Michael Bush, RB.-Louisville
3. Steve Smith, WR-USC

If we go RB/WR round 1:

2. Troy Smith, QB-Ohio St.
3. (Forgot his first name!) Leonard, FB-Rutgers

Cool

Isn't Wolfe projected as a second day guy because of his size??? He did nothing when TCU stacked the line on him.
