Not likely. Sharper wants to be in cincinnati and reunite with Marvin Lewis.

I'd love us to go after him, heck even draft may be an idea (he was released by the falcons today)

hw would have been an upgrade on what we have there now. Personally, i would have liked to have had him one year anyway. i would have sent a fourth to tex for him. i'm starting to get a little worried. I like Ruud from nebraska but i don't see him starting as a rookie over niko. should have made the trade.

Per ESPN and Jamie Sharper's agent, Jamie plans to visit the Seahawks later this week. I'm crossing my fingers but it's going to very unlikely that the Seahawks will sign him. For 1) The Seahawks are only 1.83 million under the salary cap of 85.5 million (according to ESPN's John Clayton), 2) Jamie expressed interest in going back to Baltimore 3) Cincy has more money and Marvin Lewis, Sharper's old DC at Baltimore 4) JAX has Jack Del Rio, Sharper's old LB coach at Baltimore. All these teams are vying for his services. The Seahawks best bet is to get a LB in the draft. Plus they are high on Andre Dyson and I don't think that's going to happen either.

Hawkfan-what 's bierra's cap hit. it pissees me off that i still see his name on the roster! stevens should give back some of his $! maybe we can restructure some deals. the draft is deep with cb's but dyson would be nice. that would be an expensive backfield. wiat, if we are that close with the salary cap, what do we do when shaun signs his one year tender?

I'm not exactly sure what his tender is, but I'm sure it's under $500K. They tendered him a 1 yr deal earlier. You're right Stevens should give some back and so should Chad Brown. That should help. I think the updated cap number includes SA's offer. Otherwise it's really low. They haven't really signed anyone to huge offers and they were at $6M last week. That's after they signed Darby and Jurevicius. Let's just hope they can work something out. If anyone can, it's Reinfeldt and he's the one doing the negotiating. Keep your fingers crossed, but don't hold your breath. Very Happy

i'm a little pissed really. texas would have taken anything for him. we could have had him one year to stop the bleeding and bring niko along. the idea of signing Draft or Foreman dosn't make a lot of sense. They were let go for a reason. i'm getting a nervous feeling in the sense that they are adding players and making moves but they look as if they are kind of rebuiling in a sense. not like Tennessee did this year, but we must, must , must have some veteran help before the draft. just my opinion. anyone else agree somewhat? i think that I heard we were really high on Dyson but he was turning teams off with the #'s he wanted. They mentioned signing him if it were to come down.

So here is the Question Question Question of the day. First and Second round. who do you take, as of today. Assuming SA signs his tender.

I saw a site called fantasytailgate (www.fantasytailgate.com) where they ranked players at particular positions. Guess where Jamie Sharper was ranked. He's #2, only behind Ray Lewis. Texans are idiots, why release a Pro bowl superstar for Morlon Greenwood. Hopefully the Seahawks will capitalize on Houston's stupidity. On the other hand, they could let him visit and walk like they did with Hartwell. It looks like the CB market has dried up. Notice, Ty Law and Dyson are out there but not getting signed by anyone. Chiefs and Dolphins trade for Surtain looks like it's going through soon. As to who I'd take, 1st round --- DeMarcus Ware (if we don't sign Sharper) or David Pollack, if we do. 2nd round--- Jerome Mathis, WR --- Speed, Speed, Speed, He's a deep threat playmaker with the ability to stretch the field plus he's a return specialist as well (helps their ST).

I doubt that the Ravens would pick him up. They are moving to the 4-3 and there is no way that Sharper can play OLB, and they better not move Ray Lewis. I think that there are 5 teams making a good run at them. I'll list them in order from least to greatest.

5. Jaxonville
4. Green Bay
3. Seattle
2. Cincinatti
1. Cleveland
