I wouldn't be upset to see Merriman or Erasmus James either. DJ is a stud but I think we'd use him as trade bait if anything. I think we're fine at OLB with Washington & Lavar.

I'd want to trade down and pick up at least a mid to high 2nd round pick. But let me guess, you're not doing trades are you? Oh well...

1. Merriman
2. Edwards (Even though I don't think that Gibbs will take a UM WR with a high pick ever again)
3. Rolle (only because the only other DE that should go this high is Spears, and I'm not interested in him)

What's the point of doing a mock draft without trades anyway? You know they're going to happen.

Merriman
Rogers.

We don't need an RB or a tackle or an LB who doesn't play the middle. We do need an impact player and I think these are the three players with the most potential at #9 the way it has been laid out to us.

I agree with riggensghost. This is our best option if any of those three players are available. If not, trade down, possibly using Gardner as bait and trade our 1st round plus Gardner for a 1st & 2nd rounders.

1. Edwards-need position and best football player on board. He should go to Clev in your Draft, not Williams IMO
2. Rolle-best player in draft at position of greatest need IMO
3. Alex Smith (QB, not TE) Ramsay is not Gibbs' boy. Brunell here one more year at most.

in truth if Smith fell this far, I believe a trade would happen.Someone would move up for a QB, IMO
