He was released today according to the Texans website. It is really a shame that they couldn't get a draft pick for him, or even get someone to switch picks to move up within a round for him. You would think that a team like Cleveland would trade spots in like the 4th round to get him, or that someone like the Bengals would give up their 4th round pick to get Sharper and the Texans 5th rounder.

He's getting older and was due something like $6 milloin this year. Morlon Greenwood was signed to replace him.
