| Does this mean that Putzier will get traded to the Jets? |

Probably not. Jeb posted good #s last season and he's young. Why get rid of him? I think the move was more for depth. We have 1) Carswell who may be moved to OT, 2) Leach who is really our long snapper, 3) Hape who is more of a blocking back and 4) Putzier. Alexander is insurance in case Putzier gets hurt and/or 2nd TE in two-TE sets. _________________ bronco por vida |

That's the main reason. Shannahan likes using an offensive scheme involving two TEs I believe. |

when i saw that we reworked plummer's deal i thought "hot damn, making some cap room for marques douglas" and now we waste some of that space on a 2nd TE??? we just spent decent money on our no.1 guy, and now we dish out more on a backup? carswell was a good enough no.2 guy until we got out of our cap hell. _________________

| It's a good signing, for depth. Denver passes to their TEs, and Carswell (no fault of his own) can't get open or get yards at 290 pounds. |
