I really have no clue what Angelo is thinking but it has to be something good, I mean if something happens to Grossman and they can't even go 500 because of the lack of a good QB, Angelo might seriously be out of a job. Maybe I am living in a fantasy world but there is no way Angelo would risk that same fate again right? Or maybe he is willing to risk i, all I know is with raising the ticket prices and the new stadium they better win this year

Last year and this year are far diffrent situations being that if Grossman were to go down ( I highly doubt he will 2 years in a row at QB) we have a more veteran line to handle a young QB and were a run first team outside of the fact that Hutch has a year of system under his belt.
I really dont know if any of these castoffs could do better then he would or if it would be worth the money to sign them.
One thing I will agree with is that we better wun now, Angelo has spent his money on his core players and this is the team we will have for some time.

Basically you need a veteran third stringer to come in if either Hutch gets hurt, or he's failing miserably. You need someone that can come in and spark the offense - for a series or two.. maybe a game or two, but don't expect more than that. That's why I wouldn't have a problem with George coming back as 3rd QB... or even picking up Shane Matthews again. You are just looking for a veteran that won't get flustered, and can pull a little magic outta his butt for a game or so.

Today's Chicago Sun Times says that Angelo's leaning towards forward U of I QB Kurt Kittner who is currently playing under contract to the Bears in NFL Europe as the #3 quarterback.

Funny how weak armed Craig Krenzel has virtually dropped off the radar, isn't it? Surprised

Krenzel (foolishly) turned down an NFL Europe assignment so that he could learn the new offensive playbook. Hey Craig, you're not trying to make the team as a COACH you know!
