nope if dj is gone i'd gladly take him with the 7 overall pick.

the way i see it play him at olb in the base defense (he'll be a beast against the run, blitzing the qb, and has the speed to cover wr). then drop him to de in the nickel, dime packages (let him loose on the qb).

quick profile...6-4 272lbs. with 4.6 speed, 41.5 inch vertical.

arrington during his draft year...6-3 254lbs. with 4.57 speed, 40 inch vertical.

i know comparisons dont really mean anything but if he turns out half the player arrington is he'd be a huge addition to our d.

well we'll see on draft day because it was only yesterday that there was no way the vikings should take merriman at 7 because he just didnt have value for the top ten and there was no way dj would slip to 7...

now its possible dj slips and merriman goes in the top five...so heres fingers crossaed that dj slips or if he doesnt merriman is available.

i dont think Mike Williams will, after his workouts, hes almost sure to be a top 5er...The Bucs supposedly love him...i think one of the linebackers will be there...Possibly both...the browns are the only team ahead of us i can see taking merriman...and while theres a few more possible destinations for DJ, i think those teams have bigger needs too...

4.60 40 sprint, 40 inch vertical, 10.1 broad jump, 4.21 short shuttle

great numbers for a man standing 6-4 and weighing in at 274lbs...yep he keeps getting bigger.

Yea with his pro day I think there will be a good chance DJ will fall to 7 now.... I see the browns taking Merriman at 3 because he better fits the 3-4 defense
