who do you guys think will start at RB next year cause i think that they are tire of this running back by comittee crap
my pick would be mewelde moore because williams is too old bennet doesn't read blcoks very well and onterrio smith is good but moore was the only one that i saw break a lot of tackles last year |

me too. Bennet would be good if he could stay healthy and learn to be a hard runner as well as a fast. But that's why I don't want Bennet #1; he would be the best change-of-pace back though.
Moe Williams will still be the short yardarge & goal line back (& 3rd down; I remember watching him pass block while Brian Urlacher broke through the line and tried to get to Culpepper by running through Williams... and Williams, despite being small compared to Urlacher, didn't get moved at all, and Urlacher went flying back... and it was beautiful.)
But for the primary 1 & 2 running downs back, I've already explained how I don't hope or believe Bennet will be. After Bennet's return last year he had the lowest yards per carry. So for me it comes down to Smith or Moore.
Moore had a higher yards per carry average, but Smith was put in a lot of shorter down runs when Bennet came back. I remember watching Smith absolutely fight for 3 yards, while I didn't see Moore do much outside of the be a fairly good runner. I saw Smith put heart into it.
For that reason, I pick Smith. _________________ UtBDan:

I would also choose Smith, he is a big, bruising back and picks up good yardage. _________________

| Mewelde Moore. He was easily the most consistent when he played. I wouldnt mind Smith either but Id prefer Moore. |

| This is tough..... I liked what moore did when he played, and i know SMith is proven so its between those two. They should deffinitly trade away bennet though. |

I think that we might actually get Cedric Benson.
Bennetts only strength is speed.
Mewelde is young and hasn't really showed much.
Onterrio is a bud smoker
Moe is a tackle breaker and nothing else.
Quick mock here.
1) One of the top 2 QB's
2) Ronnie Brown
3) Other QB or else Cadillac
4) Possibly DJ
5) Mike Williams
6) That other receiver, can't even think of his name(Edwards maybe)
7) We want a receiver but the only two worth it are gone, DJ is gone, This leaves either Benson or trading down for Merriman. |

I really like Mewelde Moore, dont know why, but there is something that just seems to tell me that he can be a star....
But, I have the same feeling with Ontario.....so either way I would be happy _________________

Wow ... what a selection of choice, which is exactly our problem . . . lol.
Let's see . . . Rush packer, how would you classify a big bruising back . . . other than Mo, all our guys are 5"10" or shorter and 212 lbs or lighter. Smith isn't a bruiser, but he's got the wiggle and power. So does Mewelde . . . and last I hear MM hadn't been busted for pot. Both were 4th Rd picks -- hmmmm, I'd rather have MM on the team running behind our line and Sass than Smith.
Now Bennett's a special case. Fragile as china and fast as green alfalfa squirts during a cough from your favorite dairy cow. But, he did have 1200+ yds two years ago and isn't old. Can he comeback? Yeah . . .
And if he fails, MM's in the wings. |

I think that Smith is a powerful back. I don't classify my bruisers by height. Height is irrelevant to me. I do think Moore is too small, though. _________________

trade bennett...
1. why is he injured so much...he runs straight up and down like a sprinter (which he is).
2. he is soft when have you seen him put his head down and run some one over more often then not when he is being tackled he is getting run over. i've never seen him fall forward.
3. he has absolutely no jukes, no fluidity thru the hips his great speed is purely on a straight line, i've never seen him make a player miss, yes he has outrun them but i've never seen him break a tackle...as long as you take the right angle and put a finger on him he will go down.
i do like him catching the ball out of the backfield...i feel that is where his speed is most effect.
onterio smith and mewelde moore...i'd have them duke it out over mini camp and preseason... |
