$2 million base salary and a $1 million signing bonus.

So, there goes the "Ronnie Brown if available" draft scenario.

Baltimore can match, but probably won't. they offered him 600k.
This is alot of money for a backup, we could have spent this $ on a LB.

So, I guess now this is the pool of who we are looking at for the draft:

Mike Williams
DJ
Shawne Merriman
Antrel Rolle

I'd just go with Antrel because he's the only player that we are really sure can and will play his position... I like Merriman and you guys dont like DJ and we dont NEED a WR... so go with Antrell...

Yeah, defensively, I'd hate to pass on Antrel, especially b/c of the $$ Corners are making on the Free Agent market (how valuable they are). But Merriman could be special, and of the QB has all the time in the world, it doesn't matter how good our secondary is.

But, offensivley I'd hate to pass on Mike Williams--just a freak, along side K2, wow!.

yeah there is good cb and fair lb depth, so we can probably fill one of those in the second if we go the other in round 1, or if we go mike williams in round 1

I am not in favor of drafting a QB but after Smith's workout, I am certain that we are going to considering him.
