Hey, you never know if Daunte will get hurt. Though I hope we will never have to use Brad Johnson, he's a very good backup and could even be a starter on some teams. _________________

the dollars to get brad wasn't bad. something like $1.2 million up front bonus.
here it is from the st. paul press:
Vikings agree to terms with Brad Johnson
Two days after losing backup quarterback Gus Frerotte to Miami, the Vikings found a replacement today as Brad Johnson agreed to terms on a four-year, $6 million contract, according to Johnson's agent, Phil Williams.
Johnson, who will receive a $1.2 million signing bonus as part of his deal, visited Seattle on Tuesday after working out Monday for the Vikings and was believed to be weighing offers from both teams in addition to Chicago. |
