| Good signing. Everything seems to be falling in place. Let's hope the draft goes as smoothly as free agency. |

| I like it. Experienced and someone who I think could take over for Culpepper if he were to go down and continue to play at a high level. |

Vikings agree to terms with Brad Johnson
Two days after losing backup quarterback Gus Frerotte to Miami, the Vikings found a replacement today, as Brad Johnson agreed to terms on a four-year, $6 million contract, according to Johnson's agent, Phil Williams.
Johnson, who will receive a $1.2 million signing bonus as part of his deal, visited Seattle on Tuesday after working out Monday for the Vikings and was believed to be weighing offers from both teams in addition to Chicago.
In the end, Williams said, they negotiated only with the Vikings.
"Once Brad evaluated those teams, he just felt his heart's in Minnesota," Williams said. "He just felt comfortable about the situation and everything that factored into it, personally and businesswise." |
