from NFL.com:

"Taylor played with eight different starting quarterbacks in his five years -- Elvis Grbac, Randall Cunningham, Tony Banks, Trent Dilfer, Anthony Wright, Jeff Blake, Chris Redman and Kyle Boller.

The signing apparently ends any chance that Plaxico Burress will land in Minnesota. Burress was thought to be the most desirable receiver available in free agency but has not been able to land a job."

fine by me.

Ok ... as an old, fat, outta shape piece o crap, I figure I could be the Vikes 4th reciever with what we have going on, and I wouldn't see a ball. So what about Taylor? Give the guy a chance to earn $$$, with a line like ours.. ... a QB like Pepp, Travis Taylor could prove to be worth his top #10 overall selection.

Let's say, hypothetically that the guy's a bust. What did we invest? On the other hand, let's say Pepp throws 35+ TDs . . . how many are going to screens, dumps, Burleson, Sass, Wiggins, Robinson, or whoever?

I can't imagine that Travis Taylor catches less than 50 balls and 8 TDs, much less sucks worse that Demetrius Underwood in regard to 1st Rd potential versus payback.

So, in the end, I think we give this guy a chance -- and I think he proves that he's worth his weight in gold, or hopefully diamond encrusted SB rings.

This is actually very interesting. I am curious to see what the guy can do in the Vikings Offense. He wanted to play here and I do believe he was a big reason why we didn't jump all over Plaxico. The front office did say his selling speech was excellent. I'd rather see guys who want to play here.

I kind of hope he'll beat Marcus Robinson for the number 2 slot if we don't get anyone else at the draft.

i'm happy for the guy.
never liked him in baltimore because of his inconsistency, but he had a lot of pressure.
-he was a 1st round pick, so there was pressure to put up Pro Bowl numbers (he said it himself during our 7-9 season), seeing as he was an Ozzie 1st round pick.
- he was forced into the no. 1 spot too quickly
- he was never really able to shake the "Spurrier WR" label.
- he never had a decent QB.
- he'll be a great pickup for minny. with culpepper, and a not so conservative offense, he'll be able to put up good numbers as a No. 2 or 3 WR
