Yes we all love rumors on this board, and here is the latest one from a credible source who works with the media in Arizona. Try to follw as 3 teams are involved

Cardinals get: Edgerrin James, and the Colts 2005 Second Round Pick

Colts get: Corey Chavous, Michael Bennett, and the Vikings 2005 Second Round Pick

Vikings get: Anquan Boldin and LJ Shelton

If this is true, does this mean that Mike Rosenthal's rehab isnet on schedule? Also maybe this is the reason why the Vikes have been hesitant to pull the trigger on a FA WR.

Just another fact, if this deal is indeed true, and Shelton starts over Rosenthal the Vikings line would weigh 1624 Lbs.

yeah, it doesn't sound all that good to me and i'm a big boldin fan.

would you trade chavous for shelton straight up? maybe...

would you trade bennett and a 2nd for boldin? probably not, you could get more for that pairing.

I dont have a link for this, like I said its only speculation right now. But my contact is a sports reporter in Arizona who works pretty close to the Cards. I dont like the trade that much either, I think Chavous is a very heady player who helps the front office with the draft (Look at how successful they have been in the past couple of years). And truthfully Shelton is not an upgrade, Rosenthal holds his own, has good feet and plays the right side well. Boldin is intriguing, but coming off an injury, and who knows how healthy he will be (He also is a lot like Nate).

I like this deal, but it creates a hole at SS. If we can draft Davis at 18 it looks much better. Rosenthal was the weak link of the line when he was healthy. Three way trades are very common inthe NBA, but I don't ever remember a 3 way trade in the NFL.

The only one I can remember is back in the late 80's and involved the Rams, Colts, and Bills. I know that Eric Dickerson was involved, and I am almost positive Cornelius Bennett was also part of the package.
