Just heard TRiv say Courtney has been granted walking papers. Apparently he was not receptive to restructuring his contract. Made is sound like there was a chance he could be back and just wondering what kind of odds Cleveland fans have on his return. I look at it like a long shot or about 10%. Also is this a big loss?

Yahoo! Sports is reporting the opposite and that the Browns are going to continue talk with his agents.
I personally would like to see how Courtney makes out in the 3-4 and make the switch to LB.

Yea, it's a big loss on the money we're comitted to pay. I like this cut.

CB is not a 5M$ man. Not even the 2.5M$ we owed him tomorrow. Doesn't he or his agent relize that? Maybe it's a pride thing with CB. Maybe we're past that point now and he will resign. Any offers from any other teams yet?

Wake up CB.... legite reason or not, you need to earn some money, maybe now you'll learn how hard is is to earn a M$.

I know your injuries are legite and your performance is down because of them.

But too many kids come from college and once they get paid, take on a demeiner that they have made it.... to the NFL. But fall short of being a great NfL football player.

You work out like a great player, but your #'s are not worthy of being paid like one.

Good cut.

Yeah it`s a loss that won`t hurt us, but at 26yrs, the guy, unlike G. Warren, has shown when healthy that he can put up some numbers and be disruptive, even with the dbl-teaming, and i`ve been saying to my dudes for 3yrs, that if they stand him up, or make him an OLB he would be more productive and less injury prone, and with the change to the 3-4 Dee, it would suit him to a tee. I doubt it, but I hope he re-signs..

Now that we have cap money, let's see what CB wants to do and if any team want's him.

He might find out that thr Browns have been carering him.

If he doesn't want to sign with us for less tha a 5M producer, than we have our answer.

Once again, Phil is making the right moves for our team,

Kudos to Lerner for the best pick signing Savage.

I read that Romeo made a pitch for him to come back after he visits everyone else.

I would like to see him come back and dominate as an OLB. He may not have the speed he once had, but he's got to be faster than Mike Vrabel.

It was a good cut, though. It gives us the money to get Hartwell.

I agree, we couldn't afford to pay CB that much $$$, when he's missed over 2 full seasons with injuries. I hop he shows some appreciation for all that we have done for him so far & comes back at a lower salary, but I doubt it. Someone like Danny Boy Snyder will overpay for him.
