| I'm stealing an idea that I believe TitanRick put into my head. The year Eddie George was drafted in the 1st rd we had a guy named Rodney Thomas who was a 1000yd back the previous year. People questioned why draft a RB in the 1st when we already had a RB? Well, I think that one was a good move. Do I think RB at #6 is the best selection....i don't know. But if RBrown or CBenson are there they would be great picks at #6. |

Yes we can have two capable backs...and still have a bunch of other holes, brilliant idea... _________________

| Burton is right. We could have a very devestating backfield, but why do that with so many other weaknesses. OT, LB, CB, WR, and DE can all be severly upgraded with the 6th pick. |

| Yes they have the potential but there is no need in having a great running game and a very poor defence with a mediocre passing game. |

| Yeah, man great idea, draft Benson, or Ronnie Brown, that way we could have 2 HUGE cap numbers at the same position RB. Thats really a big weakness for us right now, with Brown being a top 5 RB when healthy.Thatswhat we need to do is put most of our cap room into 2 pro bowl running backs. Listen I understand that Benson and Ronnie Brown are good but Chris Brown is a stud. If he can stay healthy, which I think he will then we will be fine at that position. We have too many other big weaknessess to try and fill with the number 6 spot. Maybe bring back Antwain Smith or Eddie George to provide relief, but I would definitely not draft a RB untill the second day! |

Their are a number of players that will make it to the pro bowl from this draft, many will be available at 6 other than a RB. And why have two possible pro bowl running backs when you could fix a team. _________________

Thats why we should have a good runnin game because our offense will be on the field longer than our defense, thats the whole point.
But i heard that we'll trade close to the 10th pick. maybe San Diego or the Redskins. And we'll pick Rolle since he ranked in 10-12. |

| Your just an idiot. I give up. First off, drafting a rb at number six doesn't mean he'll automatically be a hall of fame runner. There has been a lot of busts. Far more 1st rnd busts than hall of famers. Second, getting one in the first doesn't mean we'll be on the field longer and keep the other teams offense off yadda yadda. The running game works with a great line. It needs a deep threat to stretch the field, and a QB to get it there. an inefficient passing game allows the defense to stack the line and play the run. You can't simply get a good back and run 50+ times a game, it's not that simple. Team game remember, TEAM. And there are still plenty of guys on day 2 who can spell Brown in the backfield and be great in the Titans offense. |

Just to clarify what I may have started here...
I'm not saying I want the Titans to draft a back. I'd much rather get a stud at another position and let Brown carry the load next year. And if Eddie returns to back him up, I'm all for it.
I was just mentioning the Eddie draft because ppl on here seem CONVINCED that the Titans won't take a back. I don't think you can write it off as a possibility simply because the Titans have proven repeatedly that they draft BPA - regardless of need. When the took Eddie, I thought Rodney Thomas was good enough and completely pissed they "wasted" a pick on Eddie.
So if the question is who we WANT to take, then I'm hoping for a CB, LB or WR. But if the question is who we think Reese and Fisher will take, I don't think you can discount the backs if one falls to us. |
