Doug Flutie was released today by the chargers. ESPN has reported that he will either go to the pats or retire. I would love to have flutie back, hes my main man.

I'd have no objection to this....he would be loved in foxboro. And i love bringing these older players in to help Tom....jesus man,,,bradys only 27 i believe...he can still learn lots. Look at Elway, Farve and Montana they all had alot of success when they were older....bradys still a pup.

Its really amazing if you watch it...it was just a total laser, sailed right into his recivers hands. And the scrambling before the play...its was stellar

How that ball didn't even get tipped I don't know. It's like God himself took the ball from Flutie's hands, and just flinged it for a Touchdown. It's one those "once in a lifetime" things. I bet you if he tried that for the rest of his life, it wouldn't happen again. But that one pass, just wow.

Yeah, thats why I love this game....their are certain times in it when logic doesnt matter, when the barriers of whats possible are shattred. And with those moments, we just have to stand in awe, and we dare not stop playing, we cant after seeing those moments. We can only dream and hope we are involved in one

Don't they give out the Heisman before the championship?

sad thing is you guys didn't even get to see him in his prime. I'm a Calgary Stampeders fan (CFL) and he is probably my favourite player of all time. Another sad thing was the fact that Wade Philips kept pushing him out of the starting position despite the fact he did nothing but win(unlike Rob Johnson). I'm telling you, this guy was ripped off of a great NFL career just because of his height.
