A little misleading isn't it...hehehehe

Titans | White can't land No. 21
Sat, 27 May 2006 07:21:26 -0700

Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans rookie RB LenDale White made a good pitch to CB Reynaldo Hill, but didn't get what he was after, Hill's uniform No. 21. White wanted the number after wearing it at USC. "He asked me about what he wanted the number for and told me how much it meant to him," said Hill, who's headed into his second NFL season. "But I told him the same thing and he understood it. It means a lot to me, too. I played good with it and (CB) Samari Rolle wore it and I looked up to Samari. A lot of my favorite corners wore that number. But LenDale was cool with it. He understood." White will wear No. 25 instead.

Well I wasn't lying...Hill shot White's offer down. Wink

I really hope you repay me for the soiled underpants and the psycho therapy from the emotional distraught that took place when I read that title. But anyways, I can understand why Hill wouldnt want to give up the number; I just want to know what White offered for 21, and if it was money then how much, because Hill cant be making that much considering he was a seventh round pick.

I like it b/c its not a common number you see for a RB. If white has a great career with it it could Identify him like Dorsett with 33 and Campbell and Payton with 34.....I see 21 and I instantly think LaDanian! This could work out for LenDales favor....IF he's a winner.

Barry Bonds wears 25. And he's the greatest baseball player of our generation. I like the # for White. Good number. Somewhat symmetrical.

I hope it's not symmetrical...that would mean Lendale would have to cheat to have success. Wink . I think 25 is a good number. The only other 20 # would be 27 so I'm glad he chose a different number than that.
