Tight end Shad Meier has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.

good signings, i think these guys can have an impact

I am shocked, I didn't think we needed another TE. I read the article and Haslett had some good words for this guy. When he says "these are the kinda guys who make up the backbone of your team," I can see him as Special teams Captain and splitting time with Boo. Is Gleason getting squeezed out by all the new guys? We can't loose Gleason, he is always in on the tackle on kick-offs.

Meier is a beast of a blocker at tight end, I think he will be in on 2 TE formations and some kickoffs, I think he will play well for us, he will give Deuce a little more room to run.
