"SUPRISE" 2007 Mock Draft v2~2 ROUNDS!~& MORE!!!
#1. The Cleveland Browns Select ...Brady Quinn, QB Notre Dame
The Browns are NOT the Worst Team in Football, but sadly this
season they may have one of the worst QB's. The Browns made
a lot of moves this offseason, and the Defense looks STACKED,
but I will argue that their offense is a Paper Tiger. Frye is
essentially still a rookie QB, while their 2 biggest names
Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow Jr. Have NEVER set foot in
an NFL game...so basically still rookies...then you have Droughns.
He's not THAT much of a stud to make up for the ROOkie mistakes
you are going to see this season. I blame the season on FRYE, and
think that he will bust after being under this much pressure before
he is ready to handle it. Charlie Weiss will call up Romie and
the Browns will get thier Franchise QB in SUPERSTAR Brady Quinn.
Another Running-Back and 2 More Years and the Browns will be a
top contender in the AFC.
#2. The Green Bay Packers Select ...Adrian Peterson, RB Oklahoma
AP or Reggie Bush... Which is the Best Running Back in this Century?
This has been widely debated by NCAA and NFL fans alike. They all
say the same thing. AP is the BEST Pure RB, while Reggie Bush is
the Factor Back he can't run people over AND make them miss like AP.
I can't say enough good things about AP. I would ever say he is the
best NFL prospect since Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson.
#3. The Oakland Raiders Select ...Drew Stanton, QB Michigan State
A lot of College Fans don't see what I see in Drew Stanton. What
I see is a kid who has the size, smarts, the accuracy, and the arm
that the NFL...and the RAIDERS love.
#4. The Buffalo Bills Select ...Joe Thomas, OT Wisconsin
Joe Thomas was considered to be as good if not better than
D'Brickshaw...but then he got injured. So this pick is only
if he comes back 100% and impressess at the combine...but
don't be suprised if The Bills try to repatch their offensive
line through this draft...since it is the reason they are picking
4th overall.
#5. The New York Jets Select ...Calvin Johnson, WR Purdue
Calvin Johnson- You know the name. The best WR prospect since
Larry Fitzgerald.
#6. The Tennessee Titans ... Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
The Titans need a pass rusher that can get to the QB and disrupt
the opposing offense..Whoever has more sacks at the end of the
year Adams or Moses will be the pick here.
#8. The Minnesota Vikings Select ...Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn
I think after this season the Vikings fans won't claim that
they don't need a RB like they did this season. Kenny Irons
has NFL size, catches well, and runs a 4.4. Not to mention
that he took over for Ronnie Brown & Cadillac Williams...and
was able to carry the load.
#7. The Texas Texans Select ... LaRon Landry, S, LSU
The Texans biggest need has to be in their secondary...Landry
is freak athlete and more importanly he is a strong leader.
The Texans Offense is still missing a few pieces...but they
need to finish what they started and complete the defense first.
#9. The California 49ers Select ...Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC Jr.
What's with the fire sale on 49er WR's this offseason? Lloyd and
Woods traded away, and their QB has been having problems...I am
confused...But this Pick Makes perfect Sense. Jarrett is already
a USC star and the 49ers really ought to get someone from these
USC championship teams.
#10. The St. Louis Rams Select ... Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn St.
This Pick could go a lot of different ways, since their are a lot
of top LB prospects this season. It almost makes Ahmad Brooks look
like a genius for going to the supplemental draft...The Rams finally
get a Good LB...Are you happy?
#11. The Washington Redskins Select ... Quentin Moses, DE, Georgia
#12. The NEW Orleans Saints Select ... Patrick Willis, ILB, Mississippi
#13. The Detroit Lions Select ... Marcus Thomas DT Florida
#14. The Baltimore Ravens Select ...H.B. Blades, ILB, Pittsburgh
#15. The Tampa Bay Buc$ Select ...Antoine Cason, [CB, Arizona Jr.]
#16. The New England Patriots Seclect ...Leon Hall CB Michigan
#17. The Philadelia Eagles Select ...Brandon Meriweather, S, Miami

I like the fact you took the time to give explanations.
You also gave us some original SB teams, but neither team is an "extreme" long-shot.
I'll just comment that I respectfully disagree with you about Frye. Yes, the Browns will struggle because of their inexperience at WR, TE and QB but I don't see them regressing to the point they go 2-14 or 3-13 (which is what it would take to get the #1 pick) for a few reasons:
One, they had Dilfer last year for half the season and is Frye really that much worse than an old Dilfer?
Two, they have a solid head coach...they are less prone to suffering from such catastrophes. I would trust that Romeo knows what he is doing. He wouldn't put Frye into a situation if he thought Frye couldn't win more than 2 games.
Three, the defense has been upgraded. You've admitted it yourself so if the defense is good and the running game is also decent then this means the Browns should be in a lot of close games. That also makes it less likely they will finish 2-14. _________________ Looking forward to the groceries The Tuna is buying for Miami. |

| Give me a reason why Tennessee would take a running back in the second round when we have Lendale White, Travis Henry and Chris Brown on the roster. |

The Chargers are pretty set at OT with this years 2nd rounder Marcus McNeil. We also have Olivea, Jordan, and Lekkerkerkerker able to compete for the right side. Of course, we might find out we still need a good tackle, so this could be a good pick.
Second round is kinda 'meh' as well. If our WRs fault this year, it will be because of Rivers, not them. So unless we get a guy that is a can't miss player, I think we will stay away from a WR.
The Chargers need a Linebacker, and since we run the 3-4, we need a guy with size and speed. We arn't in dire needs of a DE/OLB, but we could go that direction next year. We really need some depth at ILB, however. Our top 4 ILBs are all on 1 year contracts, and I only expect 1 of the 4 to be resigned. So LB should be a need. We also could start looking for another NT. I think Jamal could use a break every couple of downs, and our defense is not the same when he is on the sideline. A reliable backup and a heir apparent couldn't hurt. |

Good Catch! You and the Jets swapped picks... now you get Anthony Reddick the DB from Miami and they get Brian Leonard RB Rutgers. |

As much as I like you for giving Miami the div, I must say that your format is awful. Also I dont like your hating on the browns. Do you really think Crennel is fool enough to give up on Frye after 2 seasons on a rebuilding team. Cleveland will be 8-8 BELIEVE IT _________________ "well, they got X player I wanted but they clearly overpaid" is the battle cry of bitter and ignorant football fans

I don't like seeing Green Bay pick at #2 and honestly don't believe they will pick in the top 10 (11-16 IMO). That not included I'd absolutely fo insane if we got AP and Jeff S. nice picks. BTW, Edwards did play in NFL games last year...he torched the pack to seal the deal. _________________

| Best Cards picks I've seen so far in all of the 2007 mocks. I like the Packers picks too but I don't see them being worse than last year. |

The Saints traded for Jeff Faine to play center.
Why would they take Kyle Young in the second? |

the jets have the redskins second round pick in 2007 so you should change that, but the picks are good even though unless leonard is projected to be a FB and not a RB, he would be great pick....
*****remember this all mock draft makers*****
!!!!! the jets have the redskins 2007 2nd round pick!!!! _________________

ATLANTA DOES NOT NEED A FIRST DAY WR! Atlanta would get a big space eating DT here. _________________

Looks like you have us drafting replacements for Dawkins and Trotter...you are a very wise man. AR won't wait until they are both out the door to replace them....I think you are right and these are two positions that get drafted very highly for us in '07. _________________
