Who was the better pro QB? Flutie had longevity and stayed relatively health free. McMahon had a few good years, was forever injured, yet won a Super Bowl starting with the Bears. (Though as Dan Hampton put it once "It was not as if Richard Petty was driving a Yugo, more like a chimp behind the wheel of a Rolls Royce). Career stats below:

gms- comp. - att - pct - yds. - y/a - td - int | att - yds - td

TOTAL | 119 | 1492 2573 58.0 18148 7.1 100 90 | 338 1631 16
TOTAL | 92 | 1177 2151 54.7 14715 6.8 86 68 | 338 1625 10

Amen to that. Doug Flutie was a scrub, I don't care what he did in the CFL. Two career playoff wins vrs. a superbowl win? No contest.

If we're talking about mooning helicoptors - Jimmy Mac...

If we're talking about being a respected QB in three different leagues - gotta go with the Flutes.

neither, I may respect them both, but they were average at best. If either gets in and Richard Dent does not, the system is as corrupt as old gov. ryan

Hahaha!

Yeah, I'll haev to agree to that statement.

The bears never have had a good QB, they have all been Average. Even our all time Great Sid Luckman was just average compared to other clubs leaders.

It's a shame really when you think about it...

Both QB's were great in their own right. Jimmy Mac with the SUper Bowl win and Flutie with his knack for heroics and his off field work. I'd say mac wil go down as a Super Bowl Champion and for me and Bears fans thats all that counts.

Mcmahon because of the SB, but this is like comparing what is better to have.....herpes or chlamydia? Burning or Itching? Neither QB was or is better than my boy, Peter Tom Willis! d'oh!
