The ravens have cut CB Corey Fuller and FB/special teams specialist Harold Morrow.

About time they let Fuller go it would have been even better to cut him before the season instead of Gerome Sapp. The ravens really need to get some young defensive backs we're getting very old back there. This move should also get us a little over $1 million in extra cap space so now we have some extra money to spend on DeMulling!

Good point, this could be to allow us to sign Rick DeMulling. But it also means that we need to get more help at safety, so it might be to free up some cash for us to sign a free safety.

I don't really think that the cap was the biggest reason they were let go but rather that the Ravens don't think they will keep them and being nice enough to release them now so they can find a new team. It's better to have young backups who could develop into starters. We still have Dale Carter and Deion (maybe) as old backups.

I think we're still in great cap shape with around $9 million in cap space. Of course they could use a little room to resign some players ( I believe Jamal and Heap will be free agents next year, and Reed in two years) but we should still be able to make some deals.

We will be able to make some deals, but there won't be any blockbusters, and it might be wiser to go for some better value players. As you said we've got some important guys of our own coming up. Keeping together a young core of key players has always been the Raven's aim, that is the priority above everything else.

Yep, I agree that they won't make any more blockbuster deals. I think they will get either DeMulling or Vincent (I'm hoping for DeMulling!) and then we're pretty much set with starters, maybe get a veteran reciever but i think Moore is our #2 reciever for now. Then they will bring in some veterans for depth.
