Well said, he must be having a hard time right now. My condolences to the Woods family, and my best of wishes in getting through this hard time.

Make that an issue in the feedback forum if you really want to, this doesn't really seem like the appropriate place to be complaining about one of the rules on the site.

[Note: I accidentally started another thread on this topic elsewhere b/c I didn't see this thread. Thanks to the mod for directing me here.]
Obviously, I'm sure I speak for everyone here that we feel for Tiger and send our condolences to his family. I have started this thread because while listening to sports radio today I had the opportunity to listen to an excellent interview with Jim Nantz reminiscing about Earl Woods (http://wfan.com/chrismikeaudio/ - 2nd clip - I highly recommend listening to the interview).
One golf enthusiast recounted how he asked Earl if Tiger would make the cut at the US Open back when Tiger was a mere young pup of a teenager and not well known outside of the golf community. Earl responded that the question should be if he thinks Tiger will win the tournament...not merely make the cut. The expectations were that high.
One thing that I found surprising was the response to Earl Woods' book, as one reader said it was one of the best parenting books he has ever read. I would love to know if anyone here at the forums has read this book...I'm not a parent but I love to read and am wondering if this is a book I should add to my list. Anyways, if you read the book or have something else to share about Earl Woods (not Tiger), I'm all ears (ok...maybe I'm all eyes since this is a forum site but you get the point!). _________________ Looking forward to the groceries The Tuna is buying for Miami. |

Tiger and his father were extremely close. They were best friends. My thoughts are with the Woods family. _________________
