they only get better on defense and special teams.. offense was the dark spot on the team.. and i know o grosman never played and everyone was injured but come on we dont need 5 defensive layers being our first 5 picks for the number 2 (really number 1 but subs played last game) defensse in the league

its a joke

Manning-D-
Hester-A
Dvoracek-B-
Williams-C-
Anderson-A
Runnels-C
Reed-D

That's a 60 school GPA wise, which equals a D. I love the Hester and Anderson picks, even Dvoracek. Everything else is meh. Below average draft.

I agree Raymont, though Manning could end up as a better player. We improved on depth this year and on KR/PR, and that's about it. No immediate impact players. Arrogant.

I love the Hester pick and I think Dvoracek is telling of Tank's injury. I also think anderson is a solid pick. Manning is decent (a top sleeper on many sites) but could have been gotten later. Adding to the O-line depth is great, but I think there were better players out there. And unless Williams and Runnels are going to be converted into TE's, they seem to be wasted picks. Esp. since Nicholson was there at 120, as was Omar Gaither and Terna Nande. And Kai Parham and Freddie Roach are still out there.

I give it a C to C- overall

I live in Chicago and saw every Bears game last year and I thought I knew football but maybe I missed something

Bears had number 1 defense and number 30 offense

Bears draft mostly defense?

If the Bears go their offense to rank 20 they are in the Super Bowl
I look at all the offensive talent the Bears passed on Justice Pope Jackson etc etc etc and the offense will remain about the same except for a fullback

I dont know...if the Bears had to go defense Jimmy Williams was there of Youboty Marshall etc for the CB position. Just a terrible draft IMO sorry Bears fans you guys may have even done worse then my Chiefs

Hester and Mannig are good kids, and will be good for us, though not a huge impact in 2006. One pick I don't think anybody is noticing is Jamar Williams. The guy is a confident kid like Hester and Manning. Scouts also like that he works and hits hard, shows a lot of intensity, and is a fiery leader. Perfect fit for our charismatic defense. I really think this guy is a steal and will challenge Hillenmeyer in training camp. Remember, Lance Briggs wasan unknown when we drafted him and look where he is now. If they would've drafted David Thomas (TE from Texas) I would've been slightly more content. But I really don't like the Dvorachek pick.

Don't forget that we could've had Lewis at 26 if we hadn't traded down.

We could have had a lot of players at 26...Personally, I would have wanted Jimmy Williams there. Chad Jackson wouldn't have been bad, or even DeMeco Ryans or Thomas Howard.

I feel like the draft was horrible too, but when I really think about it there really was no offensive player I would have wanted either.

I really didnt like all of those tight ends that much and as far as WR's go I really like the guys we have, but I do agree about the Moss pick.

Overall I was diappointed but I m not really sure I what I would change, this draft had alot of players who were graded drastically different from peoples predictions.

I wasn't to happy about this Draft either, We may have 22 starter coming back, but we have TJ and Briggs wanting new deals and are possible holdouts. RB is covered with Bensen and Peterson, However if Briggs forces a trade or has an extented holdout DeMeco Ryans for Ala. would like like a gem to us. The return game has improved, It looks like both the first 2 picks can and will return Kicks. Field position will improve greatly this year.

I was shocked they had a chance to get Chad Jackson and did not. My mouth dropped when they traded down to start. I could not believe it.
