vikings D-

greenway- A+ just what we needed
griffin- C not even the best CB left
cook- F WTF were they thinking. worst pick i have ever seen. so many other good o-linemen left and you take cook
jackson- F yes, we needed a QB but jackson was not it. he would have been there in the third, but we trade away both our thirds for him. jacobs was a better QB and we could have gotten him.

I think you might want to learn how to spell your coach's name.

It's K-U-B-I-A-K

Titans will either get an A+ or an F.

Gut feeling, I'd say the A.

i give the Titans draft an A+.........i think that Vince is going to be a better pro football player then Leinart and i really like the pick of Lendale White in the middle of the 2nd rounder and actually pick up another 4th rounder while trading down 6 spots and still getting a player that can realy help them convert on short yardage situations and a great goal line runner

Lendale White Rushing TDs in 2005 (13 games i think): 24 TDS
Titans Rushing TDs in 2005: 8 TDS

so he can really help us out Wink

Steelers Draft:

Santonio Holmes - C
Good player, good pick, but didnt need to trade up for him. Either he or Jackson would have been available

Anthony Smith - C+
Right position, not sure about the player. What is going on with Ko Simpson and Darnell Bing??

Willie Reid - F
Way to early to be taking a return specialist. Could have gotten one in the 5th round. Pick makes zero sense.

Overall Steelers Day 1: D
I like the positions we filled with the first two picks. However we lost picks, and the third pick was absolutely HORRENDOUS

the redskins pick could get a B grade.

McIntosh really fills in the hole left by Arrington. We get a player whos smarter and a player who plays in a structured defense. Hes a 3 down LB and can play all the LB positions and Greg WIlliams loves versatality. This kid will do wonders in the NFL.

Makers Mark is nice stuff....

You can't grade drafts until they actually play some NFL games. However the Bills reached a new all-time low. Is Levy Senile???? Rolling Eyes

I'd give the Steelers a C. They've added good players but have overspent for all of them. Two WR's in among their day one picks probably indicates a new offensive style is going to emerge.

Saints: B

They got Reggie Bush who is the best player in the draft and will boost us tremendously maybe even all the way to the playoffs.

My problem is with the 2nd Round selection. I thought we had Demeco Ryans until the Texans took him at #33. I thought certainly they would take Winston Justice but they seem completely sold on revamping that D. We traded down which was not that great of an idea even with Demeco was not there we had a choice between Reggie's old T and Jimmy Williams who could have completed our secondary either at FS or CB. From the trade donw we just got a big bust in Jeff Faine and then ended up having to take Roman Harper does nothing great but everything good. There is a little part of me that knows he will be a good selection and the other part of me says there is so many more athletes out there. He is a strong leader and that is just like Sean Peyotn would lean towards drafting.

Is Jeff Faine any good? I have not seen any Cleveland games and if I did I was not studying there Center.

I hope we can get some DT or LB and OLine help through the rest of the draft.

Maybe:
Max Gean-Gilles (spl?)
or Orien Harris

I would say either the Texans or the Cardinals have the best. Pats are third right now.

Pats: A-

Laurence Maroney: Great Pick here. We needed a RB and Maroney is a better fit for our system then Deangelo. You need to run the football to win in this league and Dillon and Maroney are a great duo.

A

Chad Jackson: One of the biggest steals in the draft. Jackson fits a huge need for the Pats and may be the best WR in the draft. He is a great pick for us and will be a great WR in the league.

A+

David Thomas: Decent Pick. We lost Fauria to FA and Graham is a FA after this year. TE is a depth need and Thomas is a great fit for our offense. He will be a great red-zone target.

B

I give my Cowboys a D. Way to screw up the draft.

1st: Carpenter- B

Carpenter is a solid choice and would have been my second choice. I think he will be a great LB. We passed on Manny Lawson however, who is a the better prospect. Only pick I like at all.

2nd: Fasano- D/C-

Fasano is a good player and I'm a fan of him, but Te is one position we are absolutely set at. Don't understand the pick at all. Passing on a O-lineman like Jean-Gilles or a safety like Simpson to get a TE? And if they wanted a TE so bad, they should have gotten Pope.

3rd: Hatcher F---

There is no way to explain this pick. This was just terrible. Need I go on?

Jaguars: B+

Lewis is a great pick and brings a new demension to the offense while filling a need long term. Jones brings depth and a new pace to the run and return game. Ingram is very underrated IMO and was a very solid pick, he fits the exact mold the Jaguars were trying to get in the replacement for Akin Ayodele. All 3 were very solid picks, but nothing extraordinary and we gave up our 4th to get Ingram which is why I went with the B+.
