First of all, for the saints to get enough value in the trade they would almost certainly have to get an offer from the top ten teams. The only team that has enough of a desperate need at running back to trade up is the 49ers.

Secondly, Dominick Davis is a beast. He was the only one that produced in that offense last year, despite an abysmal offensive line. He is one of the better receiveing running backs in the league and is an exciting runner.

Finally, Mario Williams is an absolute animal. Getting a great DE is much harder than getting a great running back. Williams will be a great DE at the next level. As far as specs go, nobody can touch Williams. He also has a terrific motor and good attitude.

I know people have questioned his motor and why almost all of his sacks came in the second half of the season. At NC state, the ends are used to contain on draw plays, bootlegs, options, and QB scrambles. This made it look like he was taking plays off. When you contain on the d-line, you do not fully engage your defender, as you have to watch the play to see what you need to do. In the second half of the season, they just started letting him loose. He also said in the first half, he didn't deal with chop blocks well. He has since learned better technique for doing so, and it has shown.

The Texans made the right choice, get over it.

I dont get why this is a bad move

1. There are runningback studs every year but how often do you see a D-Line man at the top of almost everyones draft boards?

2. Whats the point of wasting the number 1 pick on a guy who will have to split carries because he cant stay in that long to take a beating?

3. Are we forgetting about D Davis?
