| David Boston has been cut by the Dolphins. What do you think of signing him? He could be really cheap. Also, he could reunite with WR coach Jerry Sullivan. |

| They cut him because he failed his physical. He served a suspension last year for testing positive for steroids (yet insists he does not use). Two HUGE reasons why the 49ers should not touch him with a 100-yard-pole. |

I actually wouldn't mind it if the niners take a chance on this guy. He can be had pretty cheap, as teams are scared of taking a chance on this guy. From Palm Beach Post:
| Quote: | The Dolphins wanted Boston to accept a minimum contract and although he strongly considered it, he was released in a manuever that saves Miami $3.16 million against the salary cap.
A league source said the 49ers and Raiders are among the teams interested in Boston. Former Cardinals and Dolphins receivers coach Jerry Sullivan, one of Boston's mentors, is now in San Francisco.
|
And it also looks like we have lost C Wilson to the Steelers (from Pittsburg's Post Gazette:
| Quote: | | Receiver Cedrick Wilson, who had his breakout season in San Francisco last year when he caught 47 passes for 641 yards, spent the entire day and much of the evening with the Steelers as they negotiated a contract with agent Tom Condon. |
I do recall that Conway signed a one year deal so a veteran presence, even if it is Boston, would help this young receiving core. As it stands, our WR lineup looks like this:
WR1 - Lloyd
WR2 - Woods
WR3 - Battle/Hamilton |

| Because we lost Wilson, if he agrees to the league minimun I say OK. Anything higher no way. We also must remember he played for Ohio State, and players from Ohio State are cursed when they come to the NFL. |
