Why the need to explain Smith not being a great QB?

The list is long of great college Qbs never to win a Super Bowl. Isn't a Heisman Trophey winner coming from OU.

Come on. Marino never won a super Bowl. Dilfer did. No way is Dilder a better QB.

The Browns are not taking Smith because he was a great college QB.

Your own example..... 25% of playoff teams starting QB's come from the 6th round. Including the Super Bowl winner. How many first round QBS in the last ten years have won the super bowl.

Do the math from there. Well then, add in your second round Qbs and thirds. Did you come up with Dilfer yet?

Like most people from Halifax? You make no sense bro. Whatever.

Bart are you numb man? 25%.....?

You have to read it the other way....75% of them were drafted in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

Anyway like i said. Its over.,

Twist it how you want to see it dummy. Like you said, 75% playoffs. and no super bowls. What I was saying is you pointed out 25% in the 6th round have won super bowls.

You are chasing your tail. You would say things to impress yourself like... What man, Marino never won a super bowl but Dilfer did,, he must be better, yea that';s right 1 to O.. HaHa.

Grow up.

It is over and you don't make since for the big picture. Just argumentive thoughts.

I'll say by to you now with good sence for not to argue with a druck or idiot. Bye. See ya.

Obviously, we Browns fans are stupid.

Obviously, we have no idea who to draft when.

Obviously, all of us are wrong.

Obviously, we can't read well.

If we are obviously all these things, why the heck would you continue to post here? We try to value everyone's opinion, but to continuously tirade about one topic over and over, is well, unnecessary, and annoying.

So let's end this topic.

Yes, I have read your posts.

Yes, Alex Smith is a good college talent.

But No, we Cleveland fans (myself and others) do not want to draft Alex Smith with the third overall.

In the first round, there are too many other talents in too many of our weak areas to draft a QB. We are trying to create a run-first offense with an opportunistic defense. In order to do so, we need another RB, LBs, CBs, NT, G, OT at the very minimum, though maybe not all this year.

The QB position can be addressed in the second round (Charlie Frye or Kyle Orton), if we even do touch it this year. Keep in mind, we have two rookie QBs already, Josh Harris and Luke McCown.

I simply cannot believe that Alex Smith will be the BPA at third overall.

I don't think Savage will take another QB in the first round. Here's why.

Savage brought in Josh Harris while at Baltimore. Obviously he's scouted him. Harris is untested and will probably be in the mix come this preseason.

Savage drafts according to the Best Player Available. So, let's say the Niners take Rodgers first. Then the Dolphins take Ronnie Brown or Cedric Benson. This leaves Cedric Benson or Ronnie Brown undrafted. Cadillac Williams is still available. Merriman is still available. DJ is still available. These players all fulfill some of our primary needs for this season. Develop a strong running offense, and switch to the 3-4.

So can ditchdigger please lock this topic? This is getting out of hand.

I'm sorry CP, but Alex Smith is not gonna be a Brown... If you love him so much, pray for him to be a Patriot...
