South Park = NOT funny, just plain stupid

South Park isnt funny at all. Straight up, its a retarded show. THe humor is brutal - all it is is steretypical, racist, played out jokes. Most of the content is stupid and the jokes are predicatble. At least Famiyl Guy has witty jokes.

South Park accuratley illustrates American culture. Soon to be gone entirley

After seeing the family guy episodes of south park, family guy is incredibly unfunny now. it's so dead on that family guy cant make a joke that pertains to the story line, it's kind of sad. South Park has always been #1 for me and will continue to be.

That's total BS. Go back and watch the episode where Lois takes martial arts. It's on tonight on adult swim.

P.S. Drawn Together = not funny at all.

Ok, here's Oaktown's point: You have to tell us to watch a specific episode to get a joke that pertains to the storyline. What does that tell you about the show? Just about none of the episodes have jokes that advance or work with the storyline. The mere fact that you have to watch a specific FG to get a joke about the plot tells you so much about the show. You want a SP that has jokes that pertain to the storyline/plot advancement? Absolutely any episode will have that, and most of the time, it will be about current events on top of that. It's a genius show, no doubt.

But I do agree with you that Drawn Together is awful.

Family Guy is funny but it's just one of those shows you probably are better off watching under the influence of something.

Drawn TOgether is incredibly stupid i agree

South Park has never had an episode that didn't make me laugh. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are arguably the smartest writers for a tv show ever not to mention they've written funny movies as well. I mean honestly, look at the SP episode they made fun of Phil Collins after he said something along the lines of I can't believe I was up for an award against these idiots. They completely tore him a new one on that episode making him look like a retard.

I saw it too, it was definitely so far this season right after Chef leaving.

Comparing the new episodes of South Park to Family Guy it isn't even close. South Park wins by a mile. The Fonzie Family Guy episode was ok, but Lindsay Lohan naked doing the backwards crab walk? What does that have to do with anything?

________ hands down. _______ is the funniest show ever, while _________ sucks.

You do realize that is what you all are saying.... The same thing, except you disagree on the show

What intelligent arguments. This is a dumb thread, they are both great shows that have been slipping lately. Their funniest episodes are most likely behind them, but at their peaks, they were 2 of the 3 funniest shows on TV (the 3rd being Scrubs, which saldly, is also slipping Sad )

That wasnt random at all. If you actually paid attention to it, you would know that earlier in the episode a man told his wife to envision a baby in a plastic ball. Along comes Stewie, rolling along. He then tells her to envision Lindsay Lohan doing a crabwalk backwards. Ten minute later, it happens. So, Family Guy's jokes may seem random, but really, if you paid attention, they are all related to the storyline. Its the same with southpark, they might seem like theyre just trying to offend people, when really, theyre trying to make a point

What was the plot of that FG episode? It seems like using foreshadowing as a joke to me, not actually anything relevant to the plot. So what was the episode's plot exactly?

And again, the fact that you have to pick out a specific joke from a specific episode of FG that actually relates to the plot (depending on what the plot is, we'll see), it shows you how random FG really is. If you have to serach for a relevant joke, there aren't very many in there. SP, I could name any episode and they have relevant jokes.

I could do that exact same thing with Family Guy. I understand that Family Guy is random a lot of the time, but there are plenty of jokes in the episodes that re on the topic of the episode.
