He was a leading contender to start at center (or possibly guard) after we got rid of Zuttah. Urschel is also working on his PHd at MIT. He had said before that his passion for football outweighted the risks, even though he has other options for a sound career. Until now, I guess.
Oh, and Joe Flacco has a back issue and could miss 3-6 weeks. Or 1 week depending on the source.

Do they have another Center on the roster? A lot of Ravens fans pushed this guy as their answer at Center after they released Zuttah/
Jensen play center? _________________ With much cheese,

Harbaugh says they are considering adding Kaepernick. Makes me think the back injury Flacco has is a bit more serious than being let on here. _________________ Mike Tomlin, January 17, 2017 on the avoiding the Patriots in previous playoffs:

Good decision imo, especially if he's that passionate about his academic future. _________________

He was on a Peter King podcast. He's brilliant at mathematics and will do fine for himself. Just needed to store up some NFL money. _________________ Signature |

I doubt that's any more than PR talk. The Ravens typically aren't the type to bring in media attention on purpose. |

Yes. For context, Urschel has already had a couple reported concussions.
I preferred Ryan Jensen to win the starting job over him anyway, because Urschel was undersized and having undersized centers has killed us the last few years. But our depth takes a big hit, as Urschel would very likely have seen the field at some point due to injuries etc. Now those snaps would go to late round rookies with our current depth chart. |

Agreed... some guys really need football, some don't need it and this guy really doesn't need it. Smart decision on his part. _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

Doesn't make much sense for Harbaugh to admit they've been talking to Kaep throughout the summer and then comment on his priorities. Sounds serious to me. _________________ Mike Tomlin, January 17, 2017 on the avoiding the Patriots in previous playoffs:

I read the article on ESPN and Harbaugh said he's talked to Kaep but it's mostly been about history/politics and having intellectual conversations. Not that they've been keeping an eye on him football wise.
It's coach speak when asked a direct question about a player. |
