He's outplayed his current contract surprisingly and deserved to get paid. Paying someone with two years left on their contract is a bad precedent to set though. _________________ I'm not an honest person, I'm just 50 honest hamsters in a trench coat that learned to type.

He's starting to get the recognition he deserves, however I still think he's underrated overall. As a pure pass rusher he's close to elite. _________________

He's a good player, good keep for the Vikings here. _________________ I bought one of those tapes to teach you Spanish in your sleep. During the night, the tape skipped. Now I can only stutter in Spanish.

I dont understand why Griffen fell so far anyway. I thought he would have been reasonable for the Colts at 31. |

Minnesota getting pass rushers Griffen and Hunter, who have a good shot of being the best combo ends, in the mid rounds. In an era where most of the top pass rushers are going top 15. Kudos _________________

Seconded. Zimmer's also a stud, so there's that. But Hunter/Griffin is easily top-three. _________________

How can he dig a hole if he's too busy sitting on his hands? |

Gotta pay pass rushers before Mack gets paid... |

Props to him; good player, as others have said.
Addressing the extension though, I'm not a fan. Someone recently posted a list of the Vikings' roster from most expensive to least expensive player (for 2017 season). I have to say I don't like this move or any of te recent free agency moves. We are giving Sam $18 million, Riley Rieff is our highest paid player besides the starting QB, Mike Remmers who is a below average tackle is near the top, and now Griffen is signed until... He's what? 36-37? As a pass rusher? Ehhh, I hope the extension is easy enough to get out of. |

Well-deserved payday, but like OleXmad said, you gotta wonder if it'll get abused. _________________

the only thing getting abused from this will be Chicago's, Green Bay's and Detroit's QBs. _________________

And he's not even our best pass-rushing DE.
Wonder what Hunter will want. |
