First round WR missing rookie season? Been there, done that. Let me know when you lose your leading tackler and leader in receptions to CAREER ending injuries and lose your slot corner for the seaosn all before training camp.

Git on our level ChargIRs

Seriously, hope it's just a minor flare up. Could this all be connected to that one injury he had in colege, or not?

According to Ian Rapoport on Twitter surgery was being considered 3-4 weeks ago, but it's off the table now.
If it's off the table and that was known 3-4 weeks ago, why is it being reported within the last hour Williams might have season ending surgery?

Surgery was on the table 3-4 weeks ago. 2 sources with direct knowledge say it is NOT on the table now. Williams is improving

^There's the Tweet you're talking about from Rapoport.

Seems like there are two very different reports happening within the same hour.

Thanks for the heads up.
If there are two different reports out about the same subject and one is from Schefter and the other from Rapoport, I know which way I'm leaning towards believing.

Schefter and Ian Crap-report are equally scumlicious. Throw Florio into that mix, as well. Take a deep breath, wait a few hours and see what the real reporters have to say.

Might be time to get over 2015? What would Perriman have done his rookie year anyway? He played 16 games last year and didn't even have 500 yards. There is a little difference between losing the #7 overall pick and 2nd WR taken than the 5th one taken at the 26th or 27th pick.

Yeah Perriman is weak

Might be time to get over 1996 and stop attacking everything Ravens related you see?

Not directly relevant to this thread, but Perriman's development was definitely pushed back by missing his rookie year as well as the entire offseason last year. The flashes he showed are about what you want to see from a first round talent in his first game action. If he gets a full offseason and stays healthy, he's going to be a big piece of our offense, maybe the featured skill position player.

It wasn't an attack, I didn't say anything negative about the Ravens but the expectation for a WR drafted 7th overall is certainly different than one drafted in the late 20s. It doesn't mean one will be better than the other but losing a 7th overall pick is surely worse on the surface than the 26th pick. I didn't make this Mike Williams thread about the Ravens though, someone else did.
