Tito Polo is the fourth piece

Selling high for sure. He's hitting well, but I don't think he's a guy who ends up being a major league starter. Another guy who would have caused a 40 man decision, and he wouldn't have been one to get added, so yeah.

Depends on how you value Clarkin I think. He's a major injury risk but has a lot of upside.

Does he? I thought most of his stuff was fairly average at this point, outside of having a good curve.

Yankees have the right idea here in trading for bullpen pieces instead of trading massive amounts for a SP. In the postseason, we will start to see SPs pulled earlier and earlier as the years progress in favor of dominant BP pieces who can throw multiple innings.

This is exactly what I want the Astros to do.

Nah trade for Shark

Hate to say it, but I like this deal a lot for the Yankees. Add some more power to that lineup that already has a ton in it. Plus you add Robinson and Kanhle (who's the best part of this deal) without giving up a top guy like Frazier, Torres, or Mateo. Both relievers are under control for next season and they could always flip one a the deadline like they have in the past.

Ton's of K's in that Yankee pen now with these two, Chapman, Betances and Adams.

Yankees Bullpen has been our biggest weakness. And for some odd reason ESPN seems to think that starting pitcher is our weak point.

So does this take us out of the SP and 1B market. Id still like to add Alonso and Gray

The Yankees paid less for Kahnle than the Astros did for Giles despite it being the deadline and the Yankees getting 2 more MLB pieces plus getting rid of Clippard's money.

The Giles trade was an overpay but this feels like the White Sox really betting on Rutherford's upside.

The Yankees might be selling high on Rutherford. They know him better than any other team, and moving him now while he's still viewed as a top 40 prospect may be the peak of his value. He's already 20 and he's being outperformed by several younger players in Low A. Add in that most seem to think he ends up in LF and that put even more pressure on the bat to carry his value.

Yeah idk that Clarkin is going to hurt that much. His upside is probably mid to back rotation starter and there's a lot of risk there. Not the same guy they picked in the first round by all accounts.

Rutherford on the other hand was probably our second best non-MLB prospect after Gleyber and has the potential to be a top-10 prospect in a year or two.

I'd be happy if we got a package of Devers, Groome and an mlb player like Brock Holt who can play all around the diamond.

Move Vlad Jr or Devers to 1B
