Quote:
Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt and the Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday that the club has named Brett Veach the seventh General Manager in franchise history.

"After a comprehensive search process, I am pleased to announce that we have hired Brett Veach to serve as the next General Manager of the Kansas City Chiefs," Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said. "Brett has a sharp football mind, a tremendous work ethic and a keen eye for finding talent. Over the last four seasons he's played a critical role in building our football team. I look forward to working with him to continue to build on the strong foundation we have in place."

Hmm ... Rooney rule?? Hope they don't run into issues there.

I may indifferent to the hire. The real test will be signings throughout the year and the draft in 2018.

Well there's your "yes" man. Reid had him fitted for a leash. Followed Reid over from Philly.

This yes man at least has a proven track record. Fletcher Cox and Deseaun Jackson.

I am hoping this guy would have had Dorsey's approval and what I mean by that is, that he is legit and Dorsey would hire him for the same position if he was an owner.

While I like the hire, drafting well was not a problem for us. Dorsey was a Top 5 in terms of drafting in his time.

Hopefully Veach can mesh well with Reid, but at the same time keep his voice. I DO NOT want Reid having more control over our roster than the GM. It won't turn out well.
