what player(s) are likely to have the greatest noticeable impact in 2017, measured as improvement of their position from last year, whether they were on the team or not?

veteran, newly acquired free agent, rookie... doesn't matter.

Trae Waynes. I predict he is going to be a stud next year.

Hunter/Griffen. Teams aren't going to be able to double team each of them throughout the entirety of a game. They are going to terrorize opposing quarterbacks.

Reiff?
Barr?
Cook?
the new punter?

I agree. I think with Rhodes locking up the other side, Waynes is going to certainly get a lot more attention from opposing quarterbacks. This may allow him to have a lot of opportunities for game-changing plays.

As far as for offensive impact, I'm going out on a limb and predicting a significant impact from Laquon. I think with the presence of Diggs and Thielen, this will lessen a lot of the pressure on Laquon to live up to the hype that he had last year. I expect a significant impact from him in the red zone (so it's not just Kyle Rudolph as a receiving option).

I think it will be Cook, along with the OL play hopefully improving. If Cook can offer up some home run potential, which I believe he can,. It will make our offense so much more effective.

I believe the largest improvement will be offensive line play. This will allow both the passing game and run game to increase production. I expect that increase owing to the offensive line will be more noticeable in the run game.

Offensive line improvement will be led, measured by improvement of the position last year, by LT with Reiff playing the position close to average compared to Clemmings being one of the worst three LTs in the league last year.

I would put the over under line for Reiff at about the 18th best LT in the league.

The easiest two.

I expect Harrison Smith to have a statistically better season than last year. Same with Anthony Barr.

I think Laquon Treadwell will do fine as the WR3 this year.

The newly acquired Michael Floyd, kombucha tea controversy notwithstanding, will have a much better year than last season and make a big, positive impact on the Vikings' offense!

Wishful thinking, maybe, but it's possible.

I honestly feel he has the chance to be our best OL from day 1. Hopefully he gets the chance.
