I know Mel Blount and Charles Woodson were pretty good but I didn't know they were each good enough to make lists twice.

4 of his top 5 played for the Raiders(even if just for 2 years). And Deion was about to sign with us for a playoff run.

First off, Malcolm Butler? Seriously. Why not put Marcus Peters there while you're at it Gil. Damn.

I find it very hard to rank CBs across eras. Rules have changed and the receiver position is by far the most talented it's ever been.

But Malcolm Butler? If you were to ask me what's more likely that Malcolm Butler is not even ranked amongst the top 25 CBs today or him being ranked amongst the top 25 ever, I might actually lean towards the latter.

Yea I would love to know why he thinks Malcom Butler belongs in the top 125 CBs of all time let alone the top 25. He has been relevant for 3 years and even in those years he has never been a top 5 CB and has 1x Pro Bowl to his name.

Any list that doesn't have Night Train Lane top 5 (probably top 3 to be honest) loses all credibility

Antoine Winfield was a great player but I find it hard to rank a guy who was never a lockdown or elite playmaking corner and was actually a liability in coverage for a significant portion of his career top 25 all time.

Call me a homer, but he deserves his ranking. No he wasn't a true lockdown corner, but that was never his job; he played pure zone in a cover 2 scheme. He was literally perfect for a cover 2 scheme because he was fantastic at covering underneath routes and was perhaps the best run defender in the flats we've ever seen.

It's just a matter of how much you value his craft vs. the others because he was so much different than your typical cornerback.
