And what is wrong with that?

Apologies in advance for being uncultured swine, but what is a chip butty?

Let me help you out....

That is disgusting.

You'd have to either be stoned or a next level fatty to enjoy such a thing.

Looks like something a fat 10 year old would eat tbh.

It's weird to me but at the same time I've definitely put chips on a sandwich and fries on a burger before, not sure if it's really any different.

No.

If it can just as easily be eaten without the bread - like a hot dog or other sausages - it absolutely cannot be a sandwich.

Only a complete lunatic would eat a BLT, sub, pb&j, etc. sans bread.

If you were on a gameshow with a prize for $50,000, and you got to the final round where you had the crazy celebrity host asking you to race into a grocery store and make him a sandwich, would you walk out and hand him a hot dog in a bun?

I think this makes the answer pretty clear.

Pretty much nailed it in the first post:

Are you using a bun? Absolutely a sandwich

You cutting it w/ a knife and fork w/ no bun? Definitely not a sandwich

Who eats a hotdog like that? Brats or other types of sausage, fine but if you eat a hotdog like that, I'm never inviting you to another BBQ.

I see it often. People don't like carbs and some can't eat wheat b/c of allergies. Hell, I do it sometimes b/c I can have more hot dogs if I don't eat filling bread. It definitely doesn't happen often though especially if there's lot of toppings.

I eat them like that all the time. Throw some chili and cheese on them and eat them with a knife and fork. Of course, I always ate them in a bun bedore being diagnosed with diabetes, but it's become pretty normal for me now, and it's quite good.
