Is it fair to say that Harden's assist average will be cut in half basically?
I think it's possible for them to both get 8 a game
When's the last time 2 teammates both averaged 6+ APG, let alone 8+?

Very well may happen this year..
I just feel like EG will fall off the face of the earth.
Dude went super saiyan last season.

I'm pretty sure EG only exists so that he can have his career habitually wrecked by Chris Paul (and injuries).

Rockets will be good next year, but I'm sure they're going to make even more moves soon.

There's a report today that the Pacers want the Nets and Lakers picks, plus a starting player for Paul George (from Boston). So what's the hold up?

The hold up is that's an absolutely atrocious deal for the Celtics considering the Nets pick alone tops any offer they'll get, especially if Paul George isn't singing an extension.

That's an insane amount for a potential one year rental.

What rumors? Who cares about rumors. If the Celtics make the NBA Finals, George isn't leaving there.

And if he does? The Celtics are the biggest fools in the league and they wasted a potentially great future on 1 year of Paul George. Yay.

You're literally insane if you think the Celtics should make that deal without an extension from Paul George.

Why would it be a one year rental when the Celtics would make it to the Finals (according to you and others). You honestly think George is going to leave a team that just made it to the NBA Finals?

You think the Celtics should take that risk? Because I sure as hell don't. We would be outrageously beating everyone elses offers on Paul George.

LA pick+AB+Crowder is by far the best deal they'd get offered. Why bid against ourselves?

You just said you'd make it to the NBA Finals with Paul George. Take the risk. If what you're saying is true and they make the Finals, there's a really good chance George will stay.

We're not talking about making a trade to push from a 7th seed to a 4th seed. We're talking about making the NBA Finals here. Trade the 2 picks and the starter and get a guy that's going to take you to the NBA Finals.

It makes zero sense why you wouldn't do that.

Like, if you want to rebuild via the draft like the Lakers and Sixers are currently doing, then fine, do that. But the Celtics are a Finals contender (according to you). Have the nuts to make a move and go for the championship.

At this point you have to be trolling. Why would the Celtics bid against themselves? No one can even come close to matching that offer. Why would the Celtics give all that without an extension? Again, makes no sense.

Look, the Celtics would make the NBA Finals with Paul George and Gordon Hayward IMO. Absolutely. That doesn't mean its 100% guaranteed to happen, and by no means does that mean the Celtics should send the house for a guy on a 1 year deal.

You have to really appreciate a GM like Daryl Morey.

Yep. Great GM. Stole Harden from OKC and made Houston a desirable landing spot for free agents.

Rockets might as well offer eric Gordon, pick swap rights in 2019, 1st rounder in 2020, pick swap rights in 2021, 1st rounder in 2022 and 4 or 5 2nd round picks for PG

1st rounders are worthless to us in the CP3/Harden era. We would need assurances that PG will sign extension though. This kind of deal screwed the nets and made Boston rich so you never know
