Quote:
Jets are trading former first-round pick Calvin Pryor to the Browns, sources say. Shot for the safety to restart his career.

Is he any decent? I can't imagine we gave up much.

Update

Quote:
The other end of this Browns-Jets trade is LB Demario Davis. He's going back to the Jets, sources say.

If it's a straight up trade, Browns won this hands down. Jets really wanted to ditch Pryor though.

I like the trade for both teams but it's hard to say until we know the exact specifics.

The Jets drafted two safeties with their first two picks, so the writing was pretty much on the wall.

The pieces are stacking up and we have the coordinator to do it, it will be interesting to see.

Will be on the field too much to be a Top 10 defense, in neither points or yardage. I could see them having good efficiency stats, though.

?

Gregg Williams hasn't led a Top 10 scoring defense since 2010. His defenses have mostly been average.

He isn't some genius Defensive Coordinator. He's an above average one, but that's about it. And frankly, while the Browns have a lot of young talent in place, they aren't exactly the best defensive roster he's had either.

You do all know Pryor sucks right? Laughing

Unless you want a pure in the box, line of scrimmage roaming safety. And that's pretty much a dead position in today's NFL.

After the 2014 draft Rex Ryan was mouthing off about how they picked the better safety in taking Pryor over HaHa Clinton-Dix

How's that working out ?
Well, neither blowhard Rex nor his preferred safety were able to keep their jobs - mostly due to sucking...

Are you insinuating that Kam Chancellor can't cover? Laughing Laughing

I'm telling you Pryor is a one dimensional safety and you go and try and compare him to one of the best safeties in the game? Oh lord.

I was not comparing their level of skill.

You miss the point where Kam is not just an in the box safety. He can cover and play zone roaming in the back.

There is no comparison.
